I’m just coming back from my very first R2A trip which was Italy 2023! It was a dream come true. Not because it was Italy and it was a team of runners, but because the organization was very organized, supportive and dedicated to making our trip the very best for us. I am impressed by this group from the moment I signed up. R2A was in constant communication with me with every logistics before the trip, during the trip and giving us heads up with amazing upcoming trips. Every detail from hotel, bus travel, food, events of the day, down to stay hydrated and be present at the moment to enjoy the trip was involved. R2A is invested in making each trip successful for each and everyone of us. I can continue to go on, but I hope you sense my gratitude. Thank you Merritt Hopper, staff, and R2A team members who keep coming back and sharing tips and tricks for when I go on my next trip with them. Participating in my first Race2Adventure last summer, R2R Italy , was an absolutely transformative experience. Despite initial hesitations about embarking on such an adventure alone, I’ve found myself not only grateful for the experience but also eagerly signed up for two more races and planning to register for another today. This was, without exaggeration, a trip of a lifetime.
The organization and execution of the event were flawless, something I can appreciate deeply as a business owner myself. I can't even begin to understand the immense effort it takes to orchestrate such a complex event, and Race2Adventure exceeded all expectations. The staff’s dedication and enthusiasm were unparalleled; they were not just organizers but passionate facilitators of an unforgettable adventure.
I was particularly thankful for Merritt, who played a crucial role in my journey. When doubts crept in and I considered backing out due to the prospect of going alone and the proximity to the race date, Merritt encouraged me to stay the course, this speaks volumes about him as a leader! This encouragement turned out to be a gift I didn’t know I needed.
To those considering Race2Adventure, I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The staff’s dedication, the camaraderie among participants, and the sheer beauty of the adventure itself are unparalleled. Everyone was so friendly. It’s not just a race; it’s a journey that challenges you, changes you, and leaves you with memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Race2Adventure, for an experience I will forever cherish.

I have been on 6 adventure races with this company and truly can not explain how incredible these trips are! Merritt Hopper and the crew take care of just about every last detail, giving you some freedoms to make your own adventure in various ways! Running through countries like Ireland, Costa Rica, Hungary to Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Italy! Now with the upcoming Morocco and Scotland will make 8 adventures! Each unique in its own way and spontaneous moments that make them unforgettable!

This is my second adventure with R2A.

If you are looking for a fast paced, no thinking required, just show up and go kind of adventure, this is the group to do it with, all day long.

I'm not the fastest, strongest, or the most competitive, but I have felt so much satisfaction running/hiking/walking with a great group of people who have a zest for life.

This is the best way to see what a country has to offer in a week's time. Recently we went to Italy and the food and wine were amazing. This trip was like experiencing a flight of cities in Italy. You got to try out a little of each area... the Italian Alps, Venice, Siena, Rome, Pisa and many more. Running/hiking in the morning and eating and drinking in the afternoon.

Also, it feels a lot better to eat 3 courses of carbs when you start off with a 5k in the morning. For example
one of the runs organized went through vineyards and olive groves and ended at a castle with home made ravioli and wine!! Who knew that a plate of lasagna is just the appetizer, followed by 2 more amazing courses of home made pasta and wine. That was just one of the many amazing days over a week's time.

I highly recommend this company and will be back for more in 2025.

I have been on 2 trips and have been blown away at how much I was able to see and do. The organizers know how to incorporate local input to find incredible adventures, and at the end you feel like you’ve seen and experienced it all. In addition to all the activities, I have made fantastic friendships along the way. I really feel Race2Adventure has been one of the best things I’ve ever done!!! Can’t wait for the next trip!

Life changing!!! Everything about an R2A experience will excite you, challenge you, and make you a stronger better person. I fell in love with R2A in 2018; running happy with them through Spain, Ireland, Costa Rica, Europe (Danube), Norway, New Zealand, and Italy. I have gained new friends of all ages from around the globe. Because of R2A and all the staff I am continuously motivated to be my best and stay healthy and active. A phenomenal active vacation that always leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend!!

I have been on three R2A trips and they have been life-enhancing! The race days can indeed be physically and mentally challenging, but the sense of accomplishment and the courses themselves are experiences not to be missed. Each course is thoughtfully designed by professional competitive athletes who also try to keep the recreational athletes in mind. The "adventure" portions of the trips are filled with curated experiences one might not experience with a traditional travel group. Travelers of all ages and ability levels are welcome to join. The staff members are friendly and respectful and remember you from one trip to the next, even if you're not the #1 racer!

Just completed my third Race2Adventure trip (Ireland, New Zealand and Rhine river cruise from Basel to Amsterdam) and the fourth one is booked. Merritt and his crew are fabulous and so much fun. Sometimes you're a little out of your comfort zone but they're there to cheer you on and support you, whether you're running, walking or hiking.
