Absolutely beautiful views. Set in the mountains of Santa Cruz basically. Surrounded by redwoods.
The rooms were clean and perfect for relaxing in. Coffee pot (coffee and tea bags), hair dryer, toiletries, and the bed and pillows were comfy. Continental breakfast with hot waffles available...that starts at 8 so if you sleep in, you don't actually miss breakfast.
There is a picnic area with BBQ grills and it sits right next to a historical landmark. A house that looks like a castle. A little creek runs right behind the house.
The absolute best part of this hotel? AJ...the front desk clerk. He is helpful, very kind, funny, and just an all around awesome guy. This will absolutely be my go to place to stay when I'm in the area.

This was quite possibly the nicest small hotel stay I’ve ever had. The front desk person, AJ, was incredibly helpful, kind, friendly, and just a real joy to be around! I was very nervous as I am a woman traveling solo and it being a bit of a remote location definitely gave me anxiety, but AJ made me feel comfortable and secure with some friendly conversation and a bit of information about the area. The building is fairly small as was the room I stayed in, however, it was very clean and cozy! The only thing is that I couldn’t figure out how to get the tv going, but I feel that’s more a fault on my part. I honestly wasn’t bothered enough by it to ask for assistance ‍♀️
Overall it was an amazing experience and I would absolutely stay here again!

Positive: The true selling point of this Motel is that it's location is beautiful, rustic and in the heart of Felton area. For those looking to avoid the city, this was great. Negative: The motel is not well maintained. So many issues with the room I was in. Show rod barely hanging on the walls. Wall touchups in different color paint, so many rusty fixtures etc. It's just not a nicely maintained motel

Nice hotel tucked in the Santa Cruz Mountains surrounded by Sequoia trees and Redwoods. Rooms are clean and have all the amenities you need. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

Went here for my boyfriend’s 21st birthday. We stayed for two nights. It was perfect hotel was nice and clean perfect size for the two of us. It has a nice pool, free breakfast, designated smoking spot and very quiet. We came all the way from Sacramento for the Santa Cruz boardwalk which is only 22 mins from the hotel so it was perfect. House keeping and desk lady and man were extremely nice will be returning soon.

Ajay was a friendly host. The pool looked inviting, though we had no time for it. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Hotel is aging, but worked well for our trip.

Surprised by how beautiful the surrounding is. Given it's a 2 star hotel, it exceeded our expectation. It's comfortable and clean, has good coffee and waffle at 8-10am. AJ at front desk is the best. Only minor point was that the Keurig machine at the room was rarely used, thus a bit dusty.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's an old motel that is clean and in a location convenient to food establishments. The grounds are well cared for and the pool is as well. Just don't expect the promised breakfast. The staff aren't morning people and the offerings are very sparse. It does offer air conditioning, which some local venues do not. AC is useful during heat waves such as we experienced while staying there.
