Working with Mar, Merete, and Pure Adventures was an absolute delight. They planned a fabulous trip to Norway (self-guided hiking) for us, and it was a seamless and stress-free process. The communication both before and after booking was speedy, clear, and helpful. We felt really taken care of and it made planning the trip to Norway feel easy. The accommodations booked were lovely, with great food and beautiful facilities, the hiking was gorgeous and challenging, and the travel and transfers with our on-site contact was super easy. Pure Adventures provided us with the perfect multi-generational cycling trip in Spain! I had booked an inn to inn cycling trip with another company, but it was unable to find lodging for our family of six. Pure Adventures filled the bill!

Our travel advisor with Pure Adventures, Mar, was always available and responsive with my questions and concerns. The bike company in Spain was spot on, too. We were given excellent bikes, and routes were well planned out--enough to keep our grandsons' interests, but not killer on the old folks.

My adult son, still raves about the food, and our accommodations were friendly, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend Pure Adventures if you are looking for a biking adventure for the whole family.

We enjoyed the 6-day cycling through Flanders, which we booked through Pure Adventures after an online search to find a trip that worked with our travel schedule. We now consider it one of our favourite trips! The booking process was easy, pre-trip communication was thorough, accommodations were great, the route was interesting and appropriately challenging (per the description), and the local tour operator that provides services (contact was Ken) was very good at communicating and offering support while we were cycling.

Mar at Pure Adventures was tremendously helpful, assisting me with changing the tour when I realized we booked the 4-day experience by accident. Mar jumped into action and made sure we were scheduled for the right trip almost immediately. Since our return, Mar has been in touch to check and make sure our experience was what was promised.

During the trip, we were so pleased to have a local operator who was helpful and great at communicating with us as we cycled through his country. Ken was passionate about ensuring we had a great experience, providing good ideas on where to stop each day for food and must-see/drink stops. He was also very responsive when we had several unlucky flat tires and needed information to help us continue our cycling. He coordinated with one bike shop to ensure they would assist (as we found some shops were not willing to help as they were booked with other customers) so we wouldn’t be left stranded and wondering how to get to our next hotel.

From the time we chose to book this cycling vacation with Pure Adventures until we’ll after our return, we received great service to make our trip as seamless and fun as possible.

Would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see Belgium and enjoy a bit of history and beer while there!

This was my second trip with Pure Adventures. My husband and I went on the Croatia Dalmatian Coast trip in September. Amazing trip! The region was beautiful, our orientation was comprehensive and our transfers all went exactly as planned. So easy to book this tour and let Pure Adventures take care of all the details.

The boutique hotels/apartments were well equipped and all had excellent service. The host at Villa Toni could not have been more helpful. The apartment at Villa Nora was lovely and the breakfast there was special. The hiking notes and instructions were easy to follow and we took advantage of the restaurant and activity recommendations provided. The hikes on Brac and Havar had fantastic views.

Would absolutely recommend a tour with Pure Adventures (currently planning another).

Pure Adventure’s ride down the Dalmatian Coast was a truly wonderful experience. Everything worked seamlessly every step of the way— ferries, luggage transport, cycling directions, and accommodations. And the ride was spectacularly beautiful — it was also quite challenging, but I suppose those climbs are the way to get the stunning scenery.

Great self guided cycling trip to Croatia! Wonderful itinerary cycling around 4 islands. Electric bikes were very helpful since very hilly.
Briefing with guide at beginning of trip was very helpful. Our second trip with Pure adventures and we look forward to our next one.

While I’m not new to recreational cycling, I was new to cycling outside the US as well as Pure Adventures and the type of self-guided tours they provide. Consequently, I placed a lot of trust in them and they generally delivered every step of the way, from the pre-tour planning support to the in-country team, logistics and accommodations. With all that taken care of, our only focus each day was enjoying the ride, which is as it should be.
