From the moment we walked in, The Present Company made an incredible impression. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting a warm, relaxed tone for the evening. The staff was exceptional—upon arrival, they even took our coats as we were being seated, which immediately made us feel well cared for.
We sat at the chef's counter, and I highly recommend this experience. The chefs were not only skilled but also personable. They took the time to come over, explain the menu, and check in with us throughout the meal to see how everything was going and if we had any questions. Their attention to detail was impressive.
We opted for the four-course menu, and every dish was exceptional. Not a single course disappointed. The flavors were outstanding, and the presentation was on point. The chefs’ passion for their craft really shone through in each bite.
The entire space was spotless, adding to the overall feeling of comfort and care. I can’t recommend this place enough—great food, amazing service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

As we wind down on 2024, we finally had a chance to check out Present Company in Simsbury.

This restaurant is perfect for any special occasion or date night. They offer two menu choices: a seasonal pre-fixe or a chefs tasting that changes daily. The space is small and intimate with an open kitchen so you can watch the magic happen.

We were blown away by the quality of food and creativity in many of the dishes. This would be the perfect place to celebrate NYE.

We had the pleasure of dining at the chef’s table and witnessing Drew, Matt, and Sadie in action. We opted for the 5-course chef tasting, and it was fantastic! Every dish was prepped and cooked right in front of us, creating an exciting experience. The chefs were friendly, skilled, and made the entire evening fun. This place is truly a sleeper hit—don’t let the location fool you, it’s well worth the visit!

Really loved this place!! Very nice atmosphere both inside and outside- plus right by the river giving the location a wonderful ambiance. This restaurant does tasting menus which end up being so much food. Did the three course meal of scallops, swordfish, and carrot cake. All was delicious and wonderful. The flavor pairings were amazing. Swordfish was cooked on perfectly. Other dishes included pork, a yellowtail dish, and pancetta. We also shared bread with delicious spread. On the pricey side but worth it!

We visited Present Company for Valentine's Day. The ambiance was ok, and the food was good, but overall, it was a disappointing experience.
At $130 per person pre-fix, we expected exceptional food and service. We had a reservation for 8 PM but were seated late and waited 18 minutes before anyone took our drink order. There was also a very long break before we received our main course—one hour and 45 minutes after we were seated. The service was mediocre and didn't match the high cost. For $400 for two people (including overpriced wine), we expected a much more memorable experience. We’ve done many high-quality Valentine’s Day dinners in the area; unfortunately, this was at the bottom of the list.

Ok. Let me just make this simple. Their tuna tartare is the BEST I’ve ever had and the veal Milanese was literally a work of art on the plate similar to the tuna app. Leanne the bartender was super knowledgeable about their spirits and both chefs came out to greet me and converse with me about their dishes. This was a surprisingly awesome and amazing dining experience and I could feel the love and care Present Company staff puts into this establishment to offer their patrons the best dining experience. If I lived in this area, this would be one of my Norm Peterson establishments.
