Floating down the river in the winter is an amazing experience! So relaxing with the soothing sound of flowing water and watching the ice formations and snow on the river bank and trees. It's not unusual to spot deer or eagles.. so cool. I've winter rafted the Pine 4 times, enjoyed it in the fall and kayaked in the summer. Every trip was relaxing and rewarding. Jake, Alaney and the crew of Pine River Paddlesports go out of their way to make every trip special. I appreciate you guys so much, thank you!

I highly recommend Pine River Paddlesport’s winter rafting trip! They are a lovely family owned business! Our time on the river showcased the beauty of northern Michigan. We saw otters, mink and several deer. Dress warm and let Jake paddle you down the river!

We booked a weekend for our 25th wedding anniversary, and it was everything we hoped for!
We paddled Peterson Bridge to Low Bridge (3hrs) which was beautiful and has some fun rapids for novice paddlers.
The kayak rental, transport, and instruction were seamless and very affordable.
We stayed in the deluxe glamping tent, which far exceeded our expectations! I'll let my photos do the talking. The solar generator and coffee nook were great amenities.
The bathrooms were clean and well lit, with a coin-op shower. (Mens room could use a second toilet😉)
Wood, ice, souvenirs, and other essentials are available at the office.
The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming! We can't wait to come back for a longer float!

We had so much fun with Jacob on the Pine! We also did the 2 1/2 mile walk back and it was beautiful! Loved it all and highly recommend!

My husband, 10 year old son and I did winter rafting with Jake last week. It was fabulous and we highly recommend. The location was easy to get to with the help of the online information. The meeting place/launch spot had a nice area to change and restroom to use. Jake was very personable and knowledgeable about the Pine River and nature facts in general . The trip itself was not too long or short and afterward we did the two mile hike back to the meeting location. We truly had the best time and would do it again. If you are looking for a fun winter adventure definitely try this! Thank you Jake for a wonderful experience!

Head out early to enjoy The Pine without the crowds! We did Dobson to Low Bridge on a Saturday. It wasn't until Peterson Bridge that the river got crowded. Our group had different experience levels and it took a little time to maneuver the kayaks through some tight turns, obstacles, and the swift current. PRPC made the experience smooth from check in, put in and take out. I highly recommend them!

My wife and I have been visiting for 6 years now. Alaney, Jake and the entire staff always greet us with big smiles. The weather was perfect and the entire experience with Pine River Paddlesports is the cherry on top for a beautiful two day trip on our favorite river.
