My husband and I had a fantastic time at the Pine Mountain Resort! Whenever I see negative comments, it encourages me to check out a hotel because I feel hospitality industry owners and employees try so hard to please people and it's not easy. This isn't the Ritz Carlton (it's rural Michigan,
even better!) The staff certainly do their absolute best to meet high standards. We were very impressed! Our room was spotless, with plenty of room, comfortable beds, a nice bathroom and a large shower. Our TV worked great with a nice channel guide. The heat worked perfect on a stormy night. The best part was the fun sports bar. The staff were great! We had an excellent pizza, plus service. Summer and her colleague are fantastic servers. This Resort has a lot of cool character. We'll definitely stay again. Thank you for the wonderful experience!:)

We just went up overnight to Ski Friday all day and Saturday. It was my son and I about 70% of the mountain was open. It was in excellent shape for the Midwest. All the staff are fabulous from the bartenders to the front desk staff we had a two bed lodge room. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The TV worked. The Wi-Fi worked. I was good. We did have to turn off the heater. It was pretty loud when it kick in, but really wasn’t a problem plenty comfortable temp wise. Lots of families, lots of kids, lots of people, the pool was packed. Also the proshop is fabulous. Wonderful deals. Great product definitely worth stopping in there. Looking forward to going back to ski this weekend this time we’re gonna get a cabin Ski and Ski out!

There are just so many question marks with Pine Mountain:

Can you book online? Yes, but the booking policies aren’t the same as when calling in your reservation.

Can you expect friendly service? Yes, depending on who you talk to.

Can you expect a modern room with basic amenities? I suppose….

Is the room going to be clean and in a condition relative to the price you expect to pay for it? Doubtful.

Are the ski slopes well maintained? The ones that are open, yes.

This was the first time I’ve stayed at the resort itself and I have to say, I honestly don’t know how this place makes money or where the money goes. It’s an okay destination, but it’s so unbelievably outdated compared to other resorts. With that said, the prices were hilariously high for the room we paid for. Booking process was overly complicated for no reason, and at the end of the day I wished we had booked a hotel in town.

The walls in the room were paper thin (heard our neighbors at a whisper the whole night). The bed was semi comfortable, but the floors were absolutely filthy, bathroom was mildew-scented and crumbling, and nearly every appliance in the room had some sort of technical issue. Not to mention a pipe breaking outside our room which, thankfully, was fixed with no interruption to our water.

The only thing sort of worth the price was the skiing, but even that was limited due to ongoing “renovations”. With only a handful of runs open, I’m thankful it wasn’t overly busy on the days we were on the slopes.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m just not used to the “authentic” charm. I expect to get a service worth the price I pay, and in this case I didn’t. With all the question marks and supposed renovations going on, it’s better to save your money and find a more affordable stay.

We were there for the international ski jump competition. We love that the resort is within walking distance. I always go in there and visit the gift shop and often grab something to eat or drink in the restaurant/bar within the lodge. We are excited there adding little cottages out in back of the lodge. We might try to stay there next year. Highly recommend this place!

Pine Mountain is a beautiful Resort. Tucked away in nature and a beautiful building. Staff is super friendly and extremely helpful. Was welcomed at the front desk by Karolyn who was extremely welcoming and hospitable. Outstanding customer service by her and everyone else. And, they’re dog friendly 10/10 would recommend!

We had a great stay at Pine Mountain Ski and Golf Resort! Karolyn was at the front desk when we checked in, she was welcoming, friendly and professional. Through out our stay Leslie answered all of our questions and even gave us suggestions on activities we could check out when not on the hill. The lodge room was clean and larger than we expected. Thank you for a great spring break!

This is our family’s third time spending New Year’s Eve at Pine Mountain Resort and it’s always a blast. They put on a great party in the north woods. It’s a wonderful place for the family to ski and snowboard. They even offer lessons if you want to try for the first time. The hotel is quaint and has everything you need to enjoy your stay including a pool & hot tub, full service restaurant, bar, gym, ping pong table and video game arcade. I especially enjoy the outside fire pit at the bottom of the ski hill - it’s a great spot to relax and take it all in. Very friendly staff, especially Leslie at the front desk who was exceptionally attentive and helpful. And they have brand new cabins that look adorable. ✨ Great place for a rustic family getaway!
