If you are looking for an exquisite captain to explore the incredible Islands of Southwest Florida look no further than Captain Jim at Pine Island Boat Tours!
Not only was Captain Jim able to accommodate our group of 4 on a last minute request, but he went above and beyond to show us the hidden sights of Cayo Costa and Calusa Island that we would have never been able to find on our own.
An expert of the area, Captain Jim can provide you history and insight on many of the historical homes and sites throughout the islands you visit and pass on your trip.
Be sure to keep an eye out for dolphins and manatees, as we were lucky enough to spot both!

We booked a tour with Jim to Cabbage Key. He was very responsive, professional, and informative about the history of the tour! He made our reservations at the restaurant before we got there and we didn’t have a wait for a table. The kids really enjoyed it as well. A great experience all around! Thank you, Jim. Great day on the water. We chose the Lunch at Cabbage Key and Shelling Tour. Captain Jim was waiting for us and ready to go. The boat was in excellent shape and was meticulously clean. Captain Jim entertained us though our trip with his extensive knowledge of both the natural and cultural history of Pine Island and the surrounding area. Because he knew the schedules so well, Captain Jim got us in to Cabbage Key ahead of the Ferry Boats. We were able to get a table with no waiting and enjoy our cheeseburger in paradise. After lunch, Captain Jim took us to a remote section of beach on Cayo Costa. A very short and easy 5 minute walk across the dunes gave us a beautiful expanse of beach practically to ourselves with shells everywhere. This tour is awesome. Along the way we saw dolphins and enjoyed a great ride. Highest recommendation.

We absolutely loved our day with Captain Jim touring the islands. We felt very safe in his capable hands, starting with a safety review and continuing with his smooth boating skills. He showed us the wonderful sights of the islands, including short hikes on Cabbage Key, Cayo Costa and a stop to see Jeff Abbott's whimsical sculptures. He truly did everything possible to be sure the trip exceeded our expectations. Hope to see you again soon!

Our trip with Captain Jim exceeded our expectations. Jim is a wonderful host and guide. He really makes you feel at home and works tirelessly to ensure you have a great trip. The whole family enjoyed the gorgeous scenery, dolphins, birds and a visit to Cabbage Key and the Inn there which was the inspiration for the Jimmy Buffett song "Cheeseburger in Paradise". We would gladly go out with Captain Jim again when back in the area. Thanks Jim!

My wife and I went on an Island Hopping tour and what an outstanding time we had with Captain Jim and the adventures he took us on! Jim was very knowledgeable on the history of each Island and took the time to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to make sure we got to see manatee and had as many as 5 dolphins playing along side the boat at one time! We look forward to our next visits to the Pine Island area. If you are ever around that area, a trip with Captain Jim is a must!

This review is a thank you to Capt. Jim Flanders for a great dolphin and shell tour. He was an outstanding guide. I took my wife, daughter-in-law, and two year old granddaughter on a tour. Main goal was to give my granddaughter a great adventure to find sea shells and dolphins. He accomplished this and much more. We were fortunate to see a bald eagle catching a fish. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make our trip a great one. Thanks Jim!

Our eco tour with Capt. Jim yesterday was fabulous! I needed a fun day to celebrate a special birthday for my sister-in-law from Chicago. Within minutes, we felt like we were out with a close friend in his boat. Capt. Jim was not only knowledgable, but had a great sense of humor. We also visited his friend Jeff Abbott, a local artist, to see his unusual and entertaining foam sculptures. It was the best day ever! We will go out with Capt.Jim again with our out of state visitors!
