We loved Pickerel Resort! Tom and Val are wonderful people. They are helpful, friendly, kind, and very accommodating. It is an old resort but they are fixing up the cabins one by one and the are beautiful!!! We had one of the old cabins and it was like stepping back into the sixties!! We loved it!
The resort has a wonderful sand beach. We spent all day there. The grandkids played in the sand, I water walked and watched the bluegills swim around me. The deepest end of the swimming area is about 4.5 feet. We skied and went tubing. There is a boat landing at the resort and docks to tie your boats to. Didn't catch many pan fish that were keepers but the little ones are always fun to catch. There are some big lage mouth bass though.
Last but not at all least, the bar. It is amazing!! It has the most beautiful wood, live edge (raw edge) top. The bar tenders are very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a blast with all of them. The food!!! OMG, the food!!! Everything we had was delicious, expertly prepared, and reasonably priced.

Came here for the first time on my first little family vacation. Was blown away! Very rustic, great community. Beach was clean and had toys for every child so no one is left out! Food was great, owner was very generous & caring. Very affordable witch was a blessing to my family. Cabins fully stocked with essentials witch is such a nice bonus. I can't wait to come back next year and start making this place part of a family tradition.

Loved it was a nice little bar decent seating for the size of the bar. Went on taco Tuesday. My fully loaded tacos tasted amazing. Their Monterey Jack cheese sauce tasted like heaven. The bacon cheese curds were to die for. Would recommend going here for a nice casual dinner!
