Peter Pan Mini-Golf is an iconic gem in the heart of Austin, Texas, and a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. For over 75 years, this beloved spot has brought joy to generations with its quirky charm and whimsical atmosphere. Nestled near Zilker Park, Peter Pan Mini-Golf stands out as a nostalgic retreat that embodies the spirit of Austin: quirky, fun, and delightfully unconventional.

The two 18-hole courses are packed with unique challenges, from towering dinosaurs to a cheeky Peter Pan statue, all adding to the fantastical allure of the place. The sculptures and obstacles are a delightful mix of vibrant colors and creative designs, showcasing a retro vibe that you just don't find anywhere else. While some of the statues show signs of their age and could use a little TLC, this only adds to the character and authenticity of this time-honored institution. It's like playing a round of golf in a living piece of Austin's history!

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a regular, Peter Pan Mini-Golf offers something for everyone. Families love the playful atmosphere, couples enjoy it as a quirky date spot, and groups of friends often take advantage of its BYOB policy for a more relaxed evening out. The courses are well-maintained, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone.

Prices are around $12 each for the 16 hole course. +5$ if you want to do the 36 hole course. We took the 16-hole because we had young kids with us.

There's a magical sense of nostalgia that hits you the moment you step through the gates, and it's easy to see why this place has remained a treasured part of Austin’s culture for so many years. Peter Pan Mini-Golf isn’t just a mini-golf course—it’s a piece of local heritage and a beacon of Austin's eclectic and fun-loving spirit. If you haven’t been yet, grab your putter, and your sense of adventure, and head over for an unforgettable outing!

While the surrounding area might not feel too much like Neverland, Peter Pain Mini Golf does have a fun, magical quality to it. The course is an Austin classic for a reason. With two different 18 hole course and a BYOB policy, this putt putt outing sets itself up well for a good time. Getting your clubs and balls are easy and the prices aren’t too bad. Solid start.

What is too bad though is the traffic backup on the course. The party sizes allowed here are huge (we saw a party of 8). You could say we’re partially to blame for coming on a Friday night, but man did it take long to get through portions of the course. The course itself is cute with little attractions and sculptures on every hole. Some of the holes were quite challenging which added a layer of fun to it and there being a whole second course adds a lot to the replay value. The whole experience was enjoyable but we would HIGHLY recommend coming at a time where there are less people. Either way you will have fun and it’s a great way to begin a night out in the downtown area.

Extremely quirky local mini golf place! Unsurprisingly, not that busy on a Thursday morning in October. Two courses to choose from, easy and hard. Quality of the greens and holes was okay, not bad but not excellent. Fair amount of shade throughout, and an area with picnic tables at the front. All the statues are from when the course first opened in 1948, but they've since been added onto and repainted (in 2013). They're definitely weird, but a conversation starter if nothing else!

The joy of mini-golf at an Austin classic 💜 today it was hot, it was crowded, and it was still so much fun. Crowded meant more new people to hang out with today.

An Austin institution that's worth playing 36 holes during the day and another 36 at night. The leaves all over the course kind of sucks but the course provides a lot of shade and the leaves add to the challenge. They're easy to brush to the sides with your feet but it'd be cool if staff took care of this more frequently. The staff is friendly and parking is free but cramped if there's an event going on across the street.

Parking is a bit tricky, we went on a Monday afternoon and were able to snag the last spot. Definitely kitschy, fun and family friendly. I think it’s a bit overpriced but it was a fun spot.

Nice course. While courses like this with the old style of fiberglass characters seem to be going by the wayside, it was really nice to play on one that seems to still be appreciated and kept up. We did the "easy" course as we had young children but I was surprised by some of the challenging holes on it. A couple of the holes could have used a little maintenance but overall it seems like the owners have pride in the place and keep it up. Was a lot of fun and highly recommend.
