I am a truck driver who received a citation and did everything I could to resolve my case fairly. However, dealing with this court was a nightmare from start to finish. The entire process was handled with extreme unprofessionalism, poor communication, disorganized scheduling, and highly questionable legal procedures.

It took an entire year to close my case due to their inefficiency. Living on the other side of the country, I had to make travel arrangements well in advance every time I had a court date, spending significant time, money, and resources to ensure I could be present. Despite knowing this, the court repeatedly canceled my hearings at the last minute, often when I was already in Nevada. In some instances, I didn’t even receive the official continuance notice until after the scheduled hearing date.

I even considered hiring an attorney to help me navigate the process, but every lawyer I contacted quoted outrageous fees of $3,000 upfront, plus an additional $2,000 to $3,000 if the case went to trial. What’s worse, even the attorneys I spoke with admitted that this court is notoriously difficult to work with and rarely dismisses or amends cases, no matter the circumstances , which is highly concerning.

When my case finally went to trial, it was continued yet again because the officer failed to appear. Eventually, they rescheduled my trial as a simple phone call instead of using Zoom or another proper platform. The audio quality was terrible, making it nearly impossible for me to hear what was happening. I was given little opportunity to speak, and before I knew it, I was found guilty without ever having the chance to present my evidence or defend myself.

Despite my persistent efforts to prove my innocence, I was denied a fair hearing due to the court’s lack of professionalism and disregard for due process. Their poor communication and failure to follow proper legal procedures are deeply concerning and need to be addressed.
