Very clean place. Well maintained prairie area. Great in good shape trails. Awesome space for all ages. Could observe native plants that one hour north we don’t have.
Could not understand how cicadas were absent there, but glad we had a break of this annoyance. Short walk to the Indian caves where your water dog can have some fun.
Note:
Need more restrooms.

This is a great place to go to spend the day with your children or just by yourself walking the park. The front of the park has lots of cute farm animals that you can visit. They also have the exploration station, which has a lot of fun activities for children. They also have great trails.

It took me a while to realize how nice this park is, but it really is a great park. If you do anything with wheels (cycling, skating, etc), the thing that I love most about this park is how smooth the main trail is. No bumps and really nice to ride along. During the summer months, it feels about 10 degrees cooler inside the park. Beautiful at sunrise/sunset. Up against the river. Great place for families/kids, and they have lots of local events here. All around a good park.

The new(ish) playground equipment gives all kids a place to play. The restrooms could use attention, but they're adequate. The drinking fountain no longer works, so if you go on a hot day, bring your own water.

This park is beautiful and the playground are great for kids to have fun. My niece and nephews have enjoyed going to the park. And they love to see the animals. Great place for the family to enjoy. The trails are great for walking with pets. And caves by the water are amazing to see.

Beautiful parks and trails. I like the parks being separated, but not so far that different aged children can't have a parental eye on. The winding paved trail options with benches along the way were a nice touch. Well thought out design and the kids & I can't wait to go back and explore some more.

We loved visiting here! It was absolutely beautiful & wonderfully maintained. The trails were perfect for hiking/walking. You have to be careful as bikes can use them too. They're pretty easy so nearly anyone can do it. We visited the Indian Caves on our walk which was pretty cool too! Got to see the Kankakee River. Very cozy, nice place to go for an afternoon. Didn't get to visit the animals, but I will next time!
