A big shout out to Tony Johnson and his crew at Pea River Outdoors! They have the best service I've ever encountered anywhere. Most outfitters will just drop you off and then they're done with you for the day.

Tony and his crew unloaded our kayaks, helped us with our gear, and made sure everyone embarked safely. They were waiting at the takeout where they unloaded us, carried our kayaks up a 100' muddy ramp, loaded them, and then drove us back to our cars where they loaded our kayaks on our cars for us. This is a huge help after an 18 mile trip, and the 3 seniors in our group were especially appreciative. 😁

Pea River Outdoors now offers 3 different floats, on a total of 3 streams...Check them out! They'll accommodate off-season floats by appointment too!

We had an amazing adventure on the 9-mile long river route. The managers were so friendly and provided a shuttle to the drop-off point.
They honored a military discount, which was unexpected and very appreciated.

The river route had beautiful views, with active animals along the woodline and mini waterfalls to admire.

I suggest arriving no later than 12pm to give yourself time to relax and enjoy the river before dark.

We had a great trip. Tony and Amanda were awesome. Great rates and really accommodating. We rented two canoes and had a guide who was awesome. The river was amazing and these folks work hard to keep it clean and user friendly. Can't wait to go again!

I rarely give high marks to an outfitter. I have high expectations. These guys were wonderful!! Only time I touched my boat was to use my boat. They loaded from our vehicle onto their trailer and when we got back they were waiting for us at the ramp. Loaded the boats back in the truck for us. That means a lot since I have back problems. Owner was super nice and knowledgeable. The river was beautiful. I was surprised by how much this river has to offer. Whatever your reason to be outdoors it's here. Beautiful scenery, fun rapids, just go out and enjoy.

I met the new owners yesterday, and they are so sweet and knowledgeable. My experience on the river yesterday was the most beautiful and peaceful kayaking runs I've ever had! I definitely plan to go back, & I am excited to see how they expand their business! They also have tubing available, so I might try that too.

Fun day trip! Tony was a nice guy to work with. He provided quick ferry to the drop off spot and nice kayaks for the trip. The river is beautiful to travel down and a great way to beat the summer heat.
