If you want to have a spectacular all day charter out on the clear waters, book with Capt Dan! A great experience all around. Open communication and vast knowledge of sea conditions afforded the most perfect day on the water during my stay in Big Pine Key. The water was smooth as glass and visibility was crystal clear for snorkeling. Putzed around a full day on the water from snorkeling to lobstering and a sunset cruise. With the added amenities of sun screen, water bottles and ice water there was very little for me to worry about. If you want a stress free charter book with Pau Hana Marine!

I don’t like snorkeling and I don’t like fishing… but some friends talked me into going out on this charter and it was AMAZING! The boat (Makalei) was gorgeous, captain was super knowledgeable, friendly and safety conscious (I felt safe the whole time I was on the boat… and I almost never feel safe when I am anywhere near the ocean to be honest 😬), and holy wow was the snorkeling and lobstering a blast! Can’t wait to go back the next time I am in the Keys!

5-star experience with professional veteran-owned company. Captain Dan took my family out for a snorkel adventure and we had SO much fun! He knew the best places to take us so we could see cool fish and coral structures. They even made accommodations for us to take our little one with us! Captain Dan is clearly both a skilled mariner and a caring devoted father who understood how important it was for us to have a family adventure. Definitely the company to choose if you’re looking for a great charter experience with a top-shelf professional. We will be booking with them again!

Pau Hana Marine was by far the best charter we have ever been on. They took the time to meet our needs as a large family and maintained clear and responsive communication with us throughout our entire trip. It was abundantly clear that they not only had a love but a respect for the open water. They took the time to fully educate us on all aspects of boat safety, marine life dangers and had so many cool snorkeling spots to show us. They seemed equally as excited to be apart of each excursion with us. They hands down made this experience feel more personal and unique. Our time with them will be one that our family remembers for years to come. We can’t wait to visit again and set out on more adventures with their charter service.

I have known Dan for 21 years. His knowledge of seamanship, fish, diving and the reef are second to none.

We went out on the charter boat with him last week to hit a snorkeling spot a few kilometers off the coast and several things stood out:

First off, the reef was amazing. The water was 3-5m deep, warm and we saw barracuda, numerous types of snapper, parrotfish and a variety of other sea life. On the way out we saw manatees and a nurse shark.

The organization was very good. End-to-end everything was easy and taken care of.

Relative to other boats, the boat was clean, spacious and had a good combination of performance and comfort.

Overall, I would rate this 10/10. Keep up the good work Dan and I'm looking forward to our next trip!

Had an amazing time. Saw loads of awesome fish and coral, even a goliath grouper! Dan was an incredible captain, I felt safe the entire time. They also knew lots of great sightseeing and snorkeling spots, and were very knowledgeable about the local area. I had a wonderful time, and it was easily the best experience I had while visiting the Keys.

We had a fantastic time snorkeling and free diving around a beautiful coral reef! I highly recommend this experience to all the ocean lovers and anyone who enjoys a day out on the boat.

Fantastic day out on the water with the crew of Pau Hana. They customized an itinerary just for us and we had an absolute blast! The captain and crew were professional, friendly and accommodating and the boat was SICK! We'll definitely book another trip the next time we're down in the keys. Oh, and the LOBSTER!
