I will start by saying that I love the food here. In person, the staff in the back and the owners are great people. However, I just called and attempted to order a tray of rice and beans. Nothing else. The person who answered the phone wouldn’t even try to make it work. If they let me finish speaking, I would have said I needed it in three hours. Their policy is apparently you have to order it outside of 24 hours. It’s rice. I must say I’m disappointed that they couldn’t make it work as many people are repeat customers and love to support this restaraunt. Sometimes you should do something nice for your customers instead of just treating them “nice” because they’re buying from you.

I was really craving Puerto Rican food and decided to give Papas Place a try. I got the Sancocho soup and arroz con gandules. When I say that eating this brought me to near tears, I am not exaggerating. This food reminded me so much of my grandmas food and I have been missing her like crazy. Thank you for a wonderful home cooked meal that made me feel like I was in my grandmas house again.

I will never step a foot in this place again. I go with my grandson every day after I pick him up. Last week they mixed up my order. I had to go back and they did fix it. Today the staff was so nasty, I ordered one empanada and a small thing of rice and beans. I explained to the woman who was standing there behind the register in La La Land, but I had to pick up my granddaughter. I could come back for it. She gave me a nasty attitude and said you have to wait. There were two people ahead of me that were waiting for stuff from the back. I explained again I have to pick up my granddaughter from school. Another woman said can I just make it for her so she could go get her granddaughter. The other girl said OK just go ahead and do it like I said I will never ever support this business again you did not treat someone like that.

Food taste decent, but they are overpriced (better off taking the drive to Pembroke to Morivivi). They don't "customize" I simply asked for a flat ham and cheese lol but I was told by the young lady that I can only order what's on their board and she told me the only sandwich close to it was a cubano that had ham on it....Seriously? They got a 3 because the young man taking our order was very nice. Would have recieved a 1 star for the over- priced food and lack of customization- I would think it would be easier to make a simple flat ham and cheese vs a Cubano? Welp

Friendly staff, really busy place for take out and deliveries, have a big menu, I tried bacalaito, maduros and empanadas. Bacalaito wasn't crispy at all, empanadas had good stuffed but really salty (beef), I love maduros so I was really excited to try them and was my surprise that I only tasted a leftover flavor, they reused the oil from another meal so didn't taste good, I tried to put cream and cheese but the flavor still same and looked dry. I was dissapointed about this. Perhaps I will try again one more time for breakfast when everything supposed to be fresh.

My first time trying on Uber Eats. I’ve saw this place in the passing numerous time and never bothered to stop. If I can give a 20 star review I would. I love love love love love my meal. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and added lettuce, tomato, mayoketchup, and garlic sauce…my goodness to die for!! The chicken in the grilled strawberry walnut salad wow! So flavorful! & I also ordered an Oreo cake my absolute favorite dessert. The food is phenomenal and definitely cultural. I’m Puerto Rican and there’s not many cultural places left around the area with great, fresh, flavorful food. Also, I’d like to add I’m sorry for the bad reviews they have. It is 2021, food is pricey these days, cost of operations aren’t cheap either…you can’t expect to dine out or take out for free. They’re business is a nice safe location. The food is great. I enjoyed my meal. The portion was satisfying enough I have some left for seconds later on.
