What an AMAZING Sonoma Wine Tour (VW van). Jim, our driver and guide, was extraordinary! His communication - written and verbal - was exemplary. He was fun, knowledgeable and an all around great guy!

We visited three distinctly different wineries. We had great service at all. All were smaller, family owned wineries, which we enjoyed.

Jim did a great job in ensuring all the van riders got to know each other. We had a blast! And, he played great music along the way.

We highly recommend this tour and Jim!! It's a must do.

The Painted Ladies wine tour was one of the main events for my friend’s bachelorette and it was a blast! Jim was our guide and he is the kindest, sweetest man who gave us history of the city and recommendations for places to check out or explore ? Jim made this outing so fun with his personal touches! We got to explore 3 stops for wine tasting and were able to see the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to our first stop. Thank you Jim and Pearl for a wonderful day!

The Painted Ladies Tour Company of San Francisco is a great way to see the city, you even drive down the iconic Lombard St, see the Golden Gate Bridge, along with other San Fran landmarks.

Jim was our driver/guided/San Fran oracle. Born and raised in San Fran there’s nothing he doesn’t now about the city he clearly loves and wants to share.

I would highly recommend doing this tour, and if you’re lucky enough the get Jim, then you’re on to a winner!

We had a knowledgeable & personable tour guide, Noah, who re-confirmed via email the time & location the night before, which helps put you at ease.

The tour bus was easy to find. It’s hard to miss the unique 1973 VW bus. It elicits smiles, head turns and photo-takings wherever you go. However, if you’re looking for an air conditioned, motor coach experience, this is not for you.?

We were first to arrive, which was perfect b/c my spouse has knee trouble. We were able to strategize with Noah on what would be the best seat for him, and things went beautifully. A family of 6 (including 4 teens) joined us (tour max is 8 based on the bus seating capacity), and there was ample seating for all.

Noah speaks clearly and rapidly as he imparts a lot of info during the tour. He plays a soundtrack of music in the background of songs related to San Francisco or California — a fun detail.

Throughout the tour, Noah kept folks engaged by asking tour-related trivia questions, but in an easygoing, no pressure manner so no one felt as if they were put on the spot. Everybody was comfortable and interacted genially.

We crisscrossed the city and saw everything we hoped for and more! We learned a lot about SF and its history — so much that it imbued our vacation conversations for the next few days.? One interesting distinction of particular note: you travel down the famed and picturesque Lombard St., which is something larger tours cannot offer due to size restrictions.

I found the vintage VW bus tour on GetYourGuide and stepped in hoping it would be quick two hours in the city. Only to be blown away by Josh & Buttercup.
Josh, our guide for the day was amazing with his knowledge and kept our tour alive with his trivia questions and knowledge about the various neighborhoods in SF.

Will totally recommend a tour with the Painted Ladies Tour Company.

Great tour, made great more so because of Jim, he was informative and knowledgeable. Had a great day with winery stops and a drive down Lombard street too. Would recommend.
