An incredible oasis for wildlife right off Hwy 93. The visitor center has bathrooms and water available 7 days a week. There’s a day-use picnic area in the campground. A great place to take a break from driving.

A magical place off the beaten path. No cell so unless you have Starlink no Internet. Area immaculately kept. Strict stay limits. Sites are first come first served. Best sites go fast but they all work!

Beautiful place to visit, free camping (if a space is available), but don't bother fishing the upper lake unless you're after carp. If you're into hiking, it's about three miles to hike around the upper lake.
What I like best about the upper lake is that it's surrounded by trees and other wildlife.

Off hwy 93 in Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge. #10 on Upper Pahranagat lake. Tables, grill, steel fire pit. First come first served. Free. Awesome campsite hosts. Hwy noise. Lots of birds. Lots of space around campsites. Dogs need to be on leads

Great place along the side of the highway near Alamo NV. Get there early 14 first come first served sites, free, open year round. I was a bit late but got a site. Well maintained by the friendly host. Some highway noise but it settles down at night. Nice walking, hiking & bike riding.

Passed by while driving through and had to immediately stop and check out this beautiful place. The water was calm, the sky blue with a few scattered clouds. I grabbed my camera and captured tjlhe moment. I also noticed the abundance of birds here. The reduge is teeming with life. I understand there are trails here, but I was unable to get any hiking in. Next time!

Camp host Mary is doing a fabulous job of keeping campsites tended to.Keeps the fire pits and BBQ cleaned several times a day.(People please don't litter.Not even micro trash.And cigarette butts).The pit toilets are freshly painted .Toilet paper is always stocked .Room freshen in Bathroom.Also hand sanitizer. Mary checks the camp grounds throughout the day.Greets guest as they arrive. Knowledgeable of the park and and areas geography.Overall professional and friendly. .Enjoyed riding my ebike around the 3 mile trail and visit to the visitor center. Thank you.
