I came to this bank with my aunt and cousin. My aunt was using this bank for years when it was called First Midwest Bank, which was a great bank. Walking in there, the interior was tacky and was made smaller than how the bank used to be to be. They were very slow. She needed to speak to a banker in one of the offices. The one that was available was already with a customer but was finished. They were just having a full blown personal conversation for 30 minutes, literally, while we patiently waited. Honestly, unacceptable. A little conversation is ok but the banker guy was just talking too much as well as the customer. This establishment needs to do better!!

I'm used to the other branches not treating me very nicely. I'm handicapped and have a lot of trouble walking and go to the drive up if I need some special accommodation. Today the lady at the drive up treated me like a valued customer instead of being treated like a pain in the neck like at the other branches. I didn't get her name, but she was the only one back there at 4:30. Kudos and thank you to the nice lady for her kindness and professionalism.

The chubby Mexican woman teller was rude. She tried to talk to me as if I was stupid. I quickly checked her and told her to watch how she talks to me. I’ve been banking there longer than she’s been working there.
There are new tellers every other week and the black male tried to take up for her saying she didn’t mean it like I took it. I told him I heard what I heard. Some of those people up there just rude.
One lady with the red hair months ago tried to fight me when i was leaving . She was acting like she was on drugs and I told her to come outside; she backed down then. I believe she no longer works there anymore.

my dad had a joint account with my mom at that bank for over 20 years. she passed away and he had to get some letters notarized that I typed up for him. the first two letters they notarized with no problem. when he came back to get a third letter notarized the teller refused to and said she wouldn't and couldn't because the letter did not say to notarize it. when I called to question why he was denied she was extremely rude and rushed me off the phone. before I got off the phone I told her I would simply have my Dad close his account because of her unprofessionalism despite him being a customer there for at least 20 years. a week later Adult Protective Services came to our home with the police threatening and harassing us saying that a financial institute call and said that my dad was being abused physically or financially.
This God Awful unethical terribly disgusting bank had the audacity to call Adult Protective Services because they were rude and unprofessional. despite knowing that our family had just lost a mother and a wife.
needless to say I don't believe that that would have happened had my dad not been a black senior citizen man. needless to say anyone who chooses to do something as vile as that does not deserve any decent human beings doing business there.

Worse bank ever. You call and you get absolutely no help from these people. It seems like you are bothering them. Just closed 3 of our business accounts with them. We had a fradulent charge and because we didn't see it within 2 days they refused to refund our account. I would never recommend this bank to any business companies. Maybe for a personal account but definitely not a business. They hold checks that you deposit and electronic deposits. They do not do deposits first and transactions next. It's reversed. Overdrafts of over $1000 one time and the money was in there. DON'T GO TO THEM.

CALL THE POLICE? Let me tell you what just happened! I went into the branch in Blue Island on 121st & western. I signed in and sat down because I had cash on me and I wanted to open up a new account. Some crazy homeless looking guy was in there screaming and cursing loud. I looked around and all the personal bankers just ignored the fact that he was about to get violent inside of a bank. The guy got louder and louder. I looked for a security guard but they did not have one. I looked at all the tellers and they were all in a circle talking in Spanish doing nothing like his behavior was normal. Then the guy who was sick of being ignored got up and was about to start throwing brochures. When he did that I got up and left. Oh my God who is running this bank? They did not call the police. That is so odd. So it's perfectly fine to let a stranger come inside a bank and start cursing, yelling and throwing things?

For my own safety I am never going in there again. There is no security guard.
