We searched for a place to take a break on our way and we found this place. The entrance of this place looks like an abandoned property but if you drive up to the hill you will find a place to park, then we walked up through the little gate and right there were restrooms and to the left. At first there is nothing in site then we walked all the way around we found two huge Ramadas and a very nice play place for the kids. The bathrooms were very clean. had a long story for the mining industry. There are few walking trails up the deserted mountain, there are warnings for rattle snakes. We were already tired with kids so we didn't take the hike. It was perfect for our family.

First time there. My kids really enjoyed the playground!! Would have given it 5 stars, but no lights anywhere and the bathrooms are kinda far from the ramadas. Once it gets dark their are no lights.

The best spot for my daughter was the playground there. Even adults loved it.

Not your average park. It's a defunct mining operation that has been set up for public use. The trails have informational signs for the various pieces of equipment and buildings. The playground is nice. It even has a zip line for kids, adults won't make it to the end (as I found out).its definitely worth a visit.

The playground was fun, the picnic area was well shaded, and the restrooms were well maintained and clean. The informational signs about mining equipment and history were well done. Just don't expect grass (welcome to the desert?), and you won't be disappointed.

You'll love this historic mine site in Globe, AZ. My children are grown but if they weren't, I'd take them too. Great little park, perfect for children. Lots of signage on history of the mine and trails to hike and see all the sites. Adults will find it worth the trip.
