This place is no longer the Oceano Inn. It is now called the Dune Surfer Inn. The rooms have been updated with great taste. The beds are extremely comfortable. The onsite manager, Josh, was very helpful and knowledgeable about what you can do to fill your time when visiting the area. I read the previous reviews so i was reluctant when booking but i was pleased to find a very, very, clean, and peaceful nights sleep here.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! Plenty of hotels, motels, motorhomes, etc. in the area to stay at. The Mattress in the room they gave us had yellow pee like stains and the entire room had a distinctive smell. I showed the attendant and he immediately called the owner and also took photos. I spoke to the owner myself and didn't even offer us another room or an apology. The attendant (Jesse) however did apologize. We immediately left and stayed at another hotel for the weekend. Even though I told the owner and attendant that I was not staying he had the audacity to charge the full 3day stay. Which I'm disputing now with Expedia and my credit card.

My experience at this so-called "motel" was nothing short of a living nightmare. The room I was given was a breeding ground for bed bugs, turning a night's rest into a tormenting ordeal. But what truly makes this place a despicable pit of despair is the fact that the owner was nowhere to be found. While I battled those bloodsucking parasites, he was likely out gallivanting, enjoying my hard-earned money, possibly at the casino, in his own sordid version of a twisted joyride.

What's even more grotesque is that I'd decided to check out at 2 AM, fleeing this wretched establishment in the dead of night to escape the torment. Yet, when I requested a refund from the scoundrel of an owner, he greeted me with a heart as cold as the bed bug-infested room I'd just vacated.

Comparing this establishment to a homeless shelter is an affront to the shelters' noble missions. Even in those humble refuges, I've found more compassion and decency than in this veritable chamber of horrors. It's not a motel; it's a malevolent scam preying on the unsuspecting.

I strongly urge anyone considering a stay here to steer clear. It's a cruel, fraudulent den of inequity where your money is casually squandered, your well-being is disregarded, and even a middle-of-the-night escape won't grant you the slightest modicum of justice. Sleeping in your car would be a more comfortable and safer option than the abyss that is this so-called motel.

This was a very uncomfortable place to stay! I ended up calling it The Bates Motel! The bathroom was clean and the sheets were clean but the floor felt dirty and definitely the carpet needed to be replaced! When I called the manager they were always available and tried to assist. I would never stay there again. In fact we checked out early we checked out 3days early

I had a family member staying at the hotel. I recall her saying the shower did not have a curtain or a liner, so showers were not an option. Other than that I can not say much as far as the quality of room or stay. As far as customer service, I would like to express my opinion on their customer service, or lack there of. I had a very expensive Christmas gift that I had asked my family member to hold for me. It was fragile and I didn’t want it to get damaged in my car. Unfortunately, the gift was forgotten there and I take complete accountability for that. However, when I called to ask if they had it in a lost and found, I was told customers belongings aren’t their responsibility and he would not look for it or make it his concern. Never have I been exposed to such poor customer service. I didn’t even receive a goodbye at the end of the conversation. I am sharing my experience with those who are looking to feel comfortable and appreciated while on the road. Very disappointing

Don't stay here. My son and I got bit by bed bugs. The room was also not that clean. I stayed in room 109 and looked at other reviews and it was the same room as someone else who reported the same issue. Even though the property manager was a very nice guy that said he was new, and when I left a day early, I told him that the shower was cloged and that I was leaving early because my family wanted to go home; Other reviews stated that when they tried to let the management know about bed bugs are dirty rooms, they were met with hostility, so being a woman and having kids, I told the property manager that so I could just report my problem to my reservation customer service agent. I called the hotel today to ask for a refund because of my issue and the OWNER answered and was being extremely unprofessional. He called me back and extremely hostile and called me a lair. I told him why I told the manager why I was leaving early and he just yelled over me and then hung up on me. I urge others that had the same issue to report to a health inspector.

Since I had mistakenly checked in on my cell phone for a later day and had already paid, which could not be canceled, I wanted to pay the difference additionally for November 23rd to 24th, 2023.
Unfortunately, the lady at reception wanted to charge me a significantly higher difference than the comparison of the online prices for the different days would have suggested.
Nobody wanted to accept my objection.
I then went to another hotel.
