Captain Bryan and Sam were wonderful! The booking process and communication with the captain was simple. We went out at 3pm for two hours and it was worth every minute!They provided water, binoculars, and we were able to catch a glimpse of a baby whale and a few adorable otters! Loved floating on Monterey Bay with Brian and daughter, Eila. Very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Even provided pan-made popcorn. My 3 Michigan kids and I felt like family. From the Great Lakes to the Pacific! Even saw otters… A great adventure. “Two thumbs up,” Five-Star,” “Highly recommended”

This was such a special afternoon for our family! We are lake sailors from MN and our kids are used to boats so we were excited to hear that captain Brian was used to having kids aboard and had life best accommodations for our 3 young sons. We found the marina and dock easily with Brian’s instructions and felt at ease right away on Nomad. She’s a beautiful boat!! Brian lead us out into the bay and shared expert knowledge from his amazing sailing adventures around the worlds as well as local insights into the wildlife and sailing community in Monterey Bay. We didn’t see whales which we weren’t really expecting to get that lucky however we did see porpoises including a little baby(!!!) and an amazing migration of millions of Shearwater birds circling around us. We also saw and heard about the local success of sea otters population growth! Amazing time on the water. Highly recommend whether you are an avid sailor or never sailed before.

Update November 2023: We sailed again, a year later, and it was just as awesome! Myles and Buddy were the best and our sail was beautiful! Thank you for another great one-we’ll be back again!

November 2022: We booked the Nomad to scatter my Dad’s ashes, and the whole experience could not have been more perfect! Myles and his crew member were kind, compassionate, and totally game when we asked if we could just head straight out to sea! It was windy with big waves, and we all felt 100% comfortable in their capable hands. Myles positioned the boat perfectly for us to release my Dad’s urn, and they sang along with us as we listened to some of Dad’s favorite songs. Beautiful trip, all the way around. Much thanks!

My family and I enjoyed a lovely early evening sail with Brian of Nomad Charters. Brian was excellent with communication so we didn’t have any issues meeting up. We spent the morning at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, so it was great to see the whales, porpoises, sea otters, and seals in their natural environment. I would highly recommend Nomad for an stress-free, relaxing sail on a beautiful boat!
