I highly recommend Tammie Schafer at this agency. She was extremely responsive to my needs when booking an Ama Waterways cruise for 7 people. I am a big question asker and very detail-oriented. She was available through email (my preference) and phone and answered my many, many specific questions with no issue. Tammie even helped me find good vendors for services that she couldn't book for me, but with her help I was able to book myself. Her attention to detail and great attitude made our travel booking a pleasure. We will definitely be booking with her again the next time. 🙂 Thank you Tammie!

I was required to use this agency to book travel for a program I am in. I was first given a deadline by my program for booking my flight. Weeks ahead of time, I filled out a form generated by this agency that described my exact needs (flight dates, locations, times etc.). I was supposed to receive a call to confirm booking. I never did. The day before the deadline, I called the number I was given and did not get an answer. I left a message. Next day comes around, no return call. I call again. No response. Left another message. I didn’t finally get through to them until three days after my deadline. Regardless of this, I was still able to get my flights book, albeit after the travel agent was going to book me on a flight to Helsinki instead of Athens which is where I needed to be. While on the phone, I luckily caught the mistake and just ended up giving her the flight numbers of the flights I had found on my own. It’s since been a few weeks and my flights are good, but I had some plans change and need to get one of my flights switched. I have called everyday for the last week to get this arranged as it won’t allow me to fix my reservation myself on the airline platform (states I have to go through my travel agent). I have left a detailed message with my exact needs (ie. There’s no research the agent has to do; she just needs to change my flight to the new one I found). I have not received any call back at all! I finally called the airline to see what they can do and they were able to change it for me but charged me a fee since I didn’t go through my travel agent to change the flight. I am annoyed with this whole process. It was so pointless for me to go through this travel agency that has made everything 100x harder and charged me for it. I am an experienced traveler and totally just could have done this on my own but now I’m out a couple hundred bucks for having to pay this unhelpful agency and the airline for changing my flight instead of going through this agency for flight changes.

They are VERY difficult to communicate with and have incredibly confusing policies for group travel, like not issuing invoices until AFTER payment when an invoice is needed to pay them for my group. They told me today they would try to “make up” an invoice so I could pay them. That is so unprofessional. They are supposed to be a go to for group travel but there are no checklists for what needs to be done each step of the way, and only half of my requests for info are answered. It takes multiple emails and phone calls to make sense of it all. This has been a nightmare and I’m still not fully done. I’m afraid my group might lose our deposit and seats at this point and I’ve been working on this for well over a month.

I needed to find flights for 21 individuals from Denver to Atlanta, all within a few weeks notice for a competition. Lisa Keiser took over my group and handled it beautifully. She sat on hold for HOURS to get us the best flights possible and answered countless tedious questions. She was constantly available, providing her personal cell phone number if necessary. She woke up at 4:50AM to check in my group so that we could get the best seating possible on our Southwest flight.

My wife and I contacted New Horizons travel to arrange our vacation to Thailand after being referred by a friend. We were contacted promptly by one of the agents and after a phone call discussing our plans it was decided that it would be best to meet in person to further discuss our travel plans. We arrived at our appointment and had (what we thought) was a very productive meeting with our agent Rebecca. She took notes and gave us tips on our plans since she had traveled to Thailand recently. At the end of the meeting she said she would need a week or so to put together a quote for us. After a week and a few days had passed my wife emailed her asking for an update and never received a response. After two and half weeks had passed I tried to contact her via email as well and never received a response. After this I called the office directly and asked to be transferred to her. When she answered the phone it became clear that she had either intentionally or out of laziness had not done any work towards putting a quote together and even said she "didn't have her notes" from our previous meeting. She then said she could "try to put something together for us by that night". I told her that if she could get us something within a day or two that would fine. After this phone call on 5/21/19 we have yet to receive an email, phone call or any communication whatsoever from her and it is now 6/12/19. Not only has this been a frustrating process but also the time wasted dealing with this agency has put us significantly behind in our travel planning. I would not recommend this travel agency to anyone.
