This was an amazing tour. My Guide Jackie was phenomenal. She is an artist in her craft. She provided the most beautiful journey through New Castles history.

I would highly recommend this tour if you enjoy stunning architecture and beautiful scenery.

There are gardens, the oldest house is town, and even ghost stories. This is definitely worth experiencing and very affordable.

I would come here again during their historical reenactment days as well to see the towns folk walk around in historical garb.

The historic, well-preserved town of New Castle is a pleasant day trip from Philadelphia. Start at the Visitor Center with their overview video. The friendly guide shared insider tips and gave us a walking tour map. You can download the audio tour from their website. Most attractions are closed Monday. Highlights are the Dutch House, the Court House museum and town square.

New Castle is an interesting place to visit, visitor center itself is nothing special, you need to walk around and visit the various historic buildings and graveyard. William Penn actually first landed here back when Delaware was part of Pennsylvania.

We took an amazing tour led by a very enthusiastic tour guide. The fella definitely know his stuff. Also on the tour was what I'm assuming is another tour guide some woman that I assume works there. Whatever or whomever she was she was certainly enjoying the tour. She was laughing uncontrollably and maniacally it was quite hilarious to observe. All the way it made the Tour all that more enjoyable.

Was a wonderful lecture on a young boy who went missing and was never found under very strange circumstances. Loved the information and discussion. Well worth the time. Everything that old new castle de historical society does is most definitely excellent 👍

The essential 1st stop of a visit to Historic New Castle. Friendly, helpful staff, lots of info and souvenirs, free orientation video.. Get tickets for walking tours and 2 historic homes here. Also get your National Park passport stamped here.

New Castle was a welcome surprise and delightful. The historic area is large and authentic; and, the visitor center is a helpful place to start your visit. We did a your ($10pp) and learned a lot about the area.
