I really struggled with having to write this as overall I enjoyed the trip . This was Cranes on the Platte river tour. My main beef was viewing from the blinds the birds were so far away that even with binoculars they were still distant and tripods were not allowed so scopes couldn't be used. And this info was not on the webpage about the tour. We did see a few close up later in a field but the spectacle that we paid to see was disappointing

We have been on four tours with Naturalist Journeys, and every trip has been wonderful. The guides are VERY knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of each area. Lodging and food choices have always been excellent. The groups are small, so everyone gets to see and do everything, and if you need any special attention at any point, the guides will provide anything you need. Lodging is often at spots that are very eco-friendly and cater to birders and all lovers of wildlife and the earth. The word that comes to mind is quality - each detail is researched and thought out ahead of time. The experience of this company is really apparent. I can almost guarantee you won't regret going on a Naturalist Journeys tour!

I have traveled before with this company: I just returned from 2 1/2 weeks in Peru. Peg Abbott was on this trip as well as Juan Cardenas and Andrea Molina. Everyone with the business was exceeding knowledgable, professional and helpful. Five stars are not high enough.

Naturalist Journeys went above and beyond anything I expected from a traveling tour agency. The groups were small and the guides we had were local and from the areas we were visiting and therefore very knowledgeable. I was traveling by myself as well and they matched me with some great roommates. I had a great time and would happily go on a tour with them again.

Naturalist Journeys goes overboard to provide us with an outstanding nature experience. The trip leaders were very knowledgable about the birds and flora in south Texas, the areas where they were located and enthusiastic in their efforts for us to see as many of them as possible.
