This a great one stop shop for almost everything outdoors offered in the area.

The staff are outstanding and we're super friendly. Even at the end of the season, everyone was upbeat, positive and seemed to love being in the beautiful surrounding nature.

Lodging, food, brews, trinkets, tours, trips. Again, a solid one stop shop.

We had late lunch at the restaurant here. While we didn't do any of the activities, there seemed to be a lot for those that want to. Kayaking lessons, bars to hang out etc. Very serene.

The Rivers End was great . There is a Donut bus that serves just coffee and 3 types of donuts. Save your money and get donuts someplace else. The view by the river is nice. Be aware that the Bryson City Train does have a layover here so at certain times you have upto a 1000 people getting off the train and going to eat at the 2 restaurants and 1 food truck at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, so you may experience a wait .

Such a fun place! They have a nice store, and they also coordinate outfitter activities mostly rafting and kayaking. The whole area by the outdoor center was really neat! It was fun watching the floaters come in on the river. Floating the river or tubing looks like a great time here! And there’s a restaurant and Appalachian Trail junction at this location. Great place for outdoor adventure, whether you’re participating or just watching the kayakers and rafters. Good food and adult beverages and many good seats along the river. Parking can be tight but there are extra spots in the back behind the zip-lining. Great way to spend a Summer afternoon.

What an awesome trip! Robert was our rafting guide, so knowledgeable about the area, history of the river, how the rapids are created by water release from the dam upstream, and more. Total float is about 90 minutes, water is a chilly 48 degrees year round. Daytime temps were in the mid 70’s in August which was great, so the water was refreshing. The trip starts with a Class 1 rapid, graduates to a Class 2 Rapid, then a mix of 1 & 2 until the end where you get the true Class 3 falls! Pictures taken at that point! The NOC has a restaurant, gift shops, Country Store and lockers to change. This is the perfect choice if you have never experienced white-water rafting. They focus on Safety first, will definitely be back for more!

This was my second time coming here and I absolutely recommend! We did white water rafting for the first time and it was AMAZING! Bert, our guide, made the experience truly unforgettable! He kept us well informed about the river and got us singing our hearts out while enjoying the pretty views. We also did the adventure park which was fun since it included zip lining and rock climbing. I highly recommend coming here! The staff is very friendly and helpful! (We had a group of 10 and were still able to make same day reservations)
