Best place to rent from on the bay. I was just looking at pictures from our trip and realized that I had not provided a review. This was money well spent. The owner was great and made our whole family comfortable with the equipment. We went a little over the time we intended because of wind and were not charged extra. Seals, sea otters, fish, and of course the rock. The four person paddle raft was also so much fun and it handled like a dream. Next time I’m in California I will make it a point to come back here and have this experience again. Can’t wait!

If I remember correctly, under new ownership since Jan 2023, still the same easy way to Kayak, the new to me kayak launcher makes getting in and out effortless for all ages. It was my 8 year olds first time and he had a blast! We stopped on the sand bar for a little exploring. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful experience here! Originally went to rent a paddleboard and kayak. Had a great time and our hosts emphasized safety and fun above all. Saw all sorts of wildlife, had a great time in the bay, and really enjoyed the time out on the water. We went back a few days later to buy a paddleboard and the owners were so kind and helpful during the process, not to mention drove us down the street to the surf shop and helped us strap it to the roof of our Jeep. Eternally grateful for all your help & friendliness. If you’re visiting Morro Bay and want to experience a fun time in the bay, this is 100% the place to go! (P.S. the paddleboard made it back to Orange County in one piece, thanks again!)

ONE OF THE BEST AFTERNOONS OF MY LIFE!!
Next time you’re in Morro Bay, you’ve gotta pop into this paddlesports shop and plan for some fun!!! (Trust me, you’ll thank me for it!!) You can rent Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) or Kayaks (single or double) and they also offer tours.

I LOVE so much about this shop … let me break it down for ya.
1 - Amazing customer service. I didn’t know anything about Morro Bay, and was expertly guided to the best way to spend my SUP-dream afternoon with patience, know-how, and lots of excitement. There was a large family checking out just as I arrived, and I could hear from them that they, too, had an incredible time!! I saw others come and go with varying levels of expertise, and they all seemed to have so much fun!
2 - Jaw-dropping beauty and a feast for the senses!!! With Morro Rock so close it seemed I could touch it, seals barking and playing on a dock at the center of the bay (and throughout the bay, as I paddled!), seagulls flying overhead and singing their gull songs, AND the mouth of the bay easy enough to paddle to, through which I could SEE and HEAR the ocean. I was able to paddle to the sand dunes and nestle my board for a short yoga sesh, even! SO FUN!
3 - Daughter-Dad Dynamic Duo! Perhaps it’s because I, too, have a daughter - but it was SO COOL to see the way in which this business is family run, owned, and operated.
4 - Location! - The shop is located on the “Embarcadero” (the main bay-side street and within the bay, so you can get there easily and paddle board or kayak, at any level, and have so much fun!

Our whole family had a fabulous time on our guided nature kayak tour with Mary. She was kind and knowledgeable, pointing out native birds, sealife and sharing interesting info about the estuary and it’s native species. It was our absolute favorite experience in Morro Bay - so much so that we returned to rent kayaks two days later.

We were a mixed group of ages and experience (10 to 50 and some with no experience kayaking) and we were all able to keep up and enjoy ourselves. We got a little intro to paddling and we’re on our way. We saw otters, seals, pelicans, all while enjoying paddling on the water.

Every member of the staff that we encountered was kind, helpful, and upbeat. If you are at all on the fence, you should totally do it! It was also a great deal at $45 per person for two hours guided on the water.

I’ve been here a handful of times over the past few years and have always appreciated the quality of the service, which is why I keep coming back!
While kayaking we were able to see otters, seals, sea lions, and so many birds. It’s just so cool!
