We would give 6 stars if we could! Alex and Rick were the best! We hadn’t been diving in eight years and did the refresher course and dive on the Vamar Shipwreck. They made us feel comfortable in the water and on the boat and we’re both VERY knowledgeable about diving (the skills, the science, the history of the site, and all the fun stuff!) Alex’ professional background teaching SCUBA and his laid back yet safety-oriented approach are the hallmarks of his business. There are other options in the area that may be cheaper, but you will not get the same personalized experience. Booking was easy, and the trip was personalized. It felt like diving with friends, and now I suppose we were!

An absolutely amazing experience!!! I brought my sister and her friends for her bachelorette party this weekend and we decided to go snorkeling! We couldn’t have found a better place! Alex was so friendly and even brought us doughnuts for the boat ride! Highly recommend if you are in the Mexico Beach, FL area!!!

My sons, age 13 and 16, and I had the pleasure of diving with Alex Jul1st and 2nd. My 13 year old did his advanced open water certification dives and my 16 year old and I dived for fun. The boat got us out to the site quickly and we enjoyed a good wreck dive. We highly recommend diving with Maritime Expeditions. We have known Alex, the owner, for over 6 years from his shop in Urbana, IL. He is extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and just a great guy. We came all the way to Mexico Beach just to dive with him for the weekend. We were not disappointed. We plan to dive with Maritime Expeditions of the Forgotten Coast at Mexico Beach again soon!
