I did the afternoon Harbor Cruise on the Finback for my birthday this past weekend, and I had an awesome time. It isn't your regular siteseeing cruise where the Captain narrates and provides history about the locations you are passing through. It was more of a relaxing cruise where you can have a drink (alcoholic), a bite to eat, and listen to the oldies while taking in the beauty that is Salem and the surrounding areas. Since the weather is getting a bit chilly, I suggest bringing a sweater since it does get a tad cold on the boat. The staff is friendly and helpful, the boat is kept in good shape and they have a bathroom onboard. I definitely recommend it, and I will make it a point to book another trip the next time I visit Salem.

If you've never seen Salem and Beverly by boat, this is a must. I recently booked a private Charter for a surprise birthday (30ish people). Overall, it was a great experience. Annie made it very easy to iron out the details ahead of time through one phone call and a few texts. The online payment system was easy to navigate. The boat has a bathroom and full bar. The captain and crew were great. Looking forward to getting out there again!

Great time on a great sunset cruise in Salem Harbor overlooking the shore of Salem Beverley Gloucester and Marblehead. Captain and First mate (AKA) Bartender were awesome. As a Salem resident I would recommend this cruise as a must do.

I'm a Salem resident and I am on a mission to tour all the local attractions.

About this one:

We had a friend visiting from out-of-state and she wanted to do a boat tour. We were able to book our "Harbor Cruise" tickets last minute and happy to find a company accepting aboard our 2 year old. There were even dogs on the boat!

The ticket booth and the boarding area are literally next to each other, making the process quick and easy. Look for the sign on Congress Street, just at the beginning of the bridge, that points to the small ticket booth next to the restaurant.

Our boat today was the "Finback", a small vessel where you can sit under the roof so you don't get too much sun or wind, unless you want to stay on the bow and get more of both 🙂 There is a restroom on board and a small bar for food and drinks.

Our trip lasted about 1 h and 20 minutes, cruising across Salem's Bay, then Marblehead's bay and coming back along the coast of Beverly. It was just the right amount of time for this type of experience.

We really enjoyed our cruise! It was very scenic and comfortable.

CONs

No real complains, I just wanted to mention, fyi, that the food selection is limited (only burgers and hotdogs). And even though we were seated under the speakers, it was hard to hear was the captain was saying above the noise from the engine of the boat.

As they say on the website, they don't have a specific parking lot for their clients. We parked at the parking garage just across the street, but if you are visiting Salem during the fall, I recommend to arrive as early as you can to find a spot, this area gets busy quickly!

We had so much fun on our Haunted Happenings cruise! From the delicious cider to the story telling- the entire experience was awesome! This was our second time in Salem during October so it was great to get a different perspective of the city and enjoy some time on the water.

Visited Salem during the second week of May and took a Mahi harbor cruise hoping to see some whales. We didn't see any whales but we did have an absolutely amazing trip! The crew was capable and safety minded while also being really fun. The boat was comfortable and clean. Sunscreen was provided and they operated a full bar. It was a pretty short cruise, but felt longer. 10/10 would cruise again.
