Absolutely stunning view of Lake Superior. In the distance, you can just barely see Au Sable lighthouse. Getting to the viewpoint is a short walk.. take the left path at the fork for an easier walk and more picturesque view. It loops back around to the dune entrance anyhow. Or avoid any sand and return on the same path. Very much worth the stop, the view is beautiful.

Very cool! Incredible views of Lake Superior. Look out, Sleeping Bear, your dune climb has met it's match. I dare say this one is Superior 😁

Sleeping Bear sand dunes big brother, I will make the trip to the point in the future. Until you walk to the lookout for the first time, pictures can only tease the mind. The beauty of her will engulf your heart. Don’t neglect the Upper Peninsula, make the trip and see what you’ve been missing.

There is a lot more than just a steep sand dune slope to run down and then crawl back up for fools who wish to sweat a lot, there are also terrific views of the Dunes and Lake Superior.

It is a short, easy hike to the overlook hill top. From there you can see the beautiful beach down below. We chose to stay at the overlook and enjoyed the view. 🥰

My wife and I are in our mid forties, and we have a 14 and 12 year old. The climb back up these dunes was way over hyped and was really not that difficult. Looks way worse than it actually is. The views are amazing from the bottom. This was my favorite part of our trip.

Great place to visit. My kids who are 20 and 22 went down to the bottom. They are both in great shape and it took them 13 minutes to climb back up. This was after the 7 mile waterfall hike we took. They were done for the day. The views are amazing.
