I joined 5 years ago for $20. The annual membership price has doubled to $40. Cost of special meals and exercise classes have increased. Cheer is still $25 annually.

The Lewes Sr center provides a great location for a valuable public service- The Blood Bank. I've donated there many times, as have many others, and it's a well-kept, easy to get to location. I'm aware that they also have many events and activities there, too! Well done!

This is a great place to come to. You pay $30 for the whole year and there's so much to do. Thet have different kinds of fun classes that you can join. Although, some of the classes you pay $6-$7 a class. The fitness room is included in the $30. They have special events you can do and many local or out of state tours that you can take for a reasonable price. So come and enjoy yourself! On someday, you will be greeted by their cute mascot, Martin!

I go to the center for Yoga on Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 The instructor is great and the people are welcoming and friendly. New renovations make activities fun and exciting. If you have just moved to the area this is a place to find new adventures

I called them this morning to confirm that people had signed up for my first PC Clinic. Sally said that one person had signed up for today, so I drove to the center From Milton for the 1:30 appointment. I set up in one of the rooms, connected to WIFI and waited. At about 1:35, Sally tells me that the appointment is for NEXT WEEK, NOT TODAY. She said she was sorry. That was the last straw (third strike). So I told Dennis to cancel the program and he said he was sorry. He would not even shake my hand when I first met him! He said "we do not do that'!

Last week, I never received an email from the center asking me to make sure the PC Clinic announcement was correct (second strike). No confirmation of time or dates! I got the email announcement from a Milton Library PC Clinic client of mine when I mentioned the new service to her!

The first strike was not receiving any answers to my emails to the center offering the program.

Sally told me later that "maybe you are not a good fit for the senior center"! Blaming the giver of the service instead of taking responsibility for their incompetence!

The paid employees should be fired!

I am a member of the Lewes Senior Activity Center. It is a wonderful place with many activities, exercise classes, a gym with new equipment donated by Beebe Healthcare, trips, luncheons, and a place to meet and greet new friends. Currently, we continue to follow the Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions as mandated by Gov. Carney. Call or stop by for a visit to find out more about this wonderful place.

I love our LSC! Whenever you walk through the door, you are greeted by the friendliest, warm, sincere, smiles and welcomed by a volunteer at the desk who is always happy to see you. There are so many programs to chose from, you want to try all, or the ones that especially peak your interest and goals. I like to take trips. We always have fun! This experience shows you that no matter your age on your drivers license, the folks you meet are so young at heart and always ready for a new adventure!
Dennis and Sally do a great job in scheduling and seeing to it that anyone’s suggestions for trips are considered. Meet new friends and have a new, fun experience. Life begins again at Lewes Senior Center!
