We had such a lovely stay. The property is absolutely gorgeous. We had a riverside cabin that was fantastic. Large and comfortable with showers inside and out. Large bathroom, fabulous room with fireplace, great seating area. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Close enough to town for us to walk but they’ll drive you in if you prefer. Car or golf cart. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend! It’s quite pricey but if you can it’s worth the splurge

I booked a 2PM massage on the L’Auberge website a month in advance for myself and a friend. On arrival, the desk informed me that their system had the appointments at 1:45PM, and that our treatments would be cut short. I offered to show them my booking confirmation after the session, but they said they could check on it immediately. Another staff member flipped through the email with me, confirmed the discrepancy, and said they’d give a 25% discount. I was caught off guard by the whole thing and said we can discuss when we are checking out, I was trying to keep a relaxed headspace and not waste more time. Once out, the paperwork was already printed. While the % is in proportion to the time we lost, it’s not above and beyond customer service you equate with the spa at a luxury resort. Proper booking management is a basic expectation, and even non-luxury establishments handle these situations better. Though we arrived later than the, “please arrive 15 minutes prior to your service to allow for check-in” window, our timing wouldn’t have been an issue for our 2PM scheduling. The early arrival request is meant to enhance the experience, not fix booking errors. The therapist said she added a few extra minutes which was kind, but noted that she, “now had less time between clients.” The desk jokingly blamed the vortex for the error and suggested we “show up early” for the sunset overlook we were considering for later that night. I’m sure it was meant well but it felt tactless given the context. The whole thing diminished the overall experience.

My husband and I did a day pass here and it was wonderful!
We had lunch at the restaurant. They seated us near the stream which was simply dreamy. Calm, quiet, no bugs and just so peaceful.
Great snacks and drinks.

We also did the pool and spa. Clean, organized, and very relaxing experience.

Highly recommend at lease doing the day pass for a relaxing spa experience when you are in the Sedona area.

First off, I want to say we stayed here a few years back and absolutely loved it. Top tier service through hotel, spa, restaurants. Now in July 2024, we had a different experience. We also traveled with our 10 month old baby this time and they did provide stuff for him which was nice. First when we arrived at 5 PM our room was not ready and they did give us bar credit which was nice but like I mentioned we had our baby who was crying and just had a long drive from Zion. We went to dinner that night at the hotel they closed the creek part anticipating rain (which it did not rain) but was super low on staff at the restaurant. Our waitress seemed so stressed and we had long waits for food (some of the order was messed up) honestly we don’t blame the waitress she had too many tables so we ended up tipping a lot because we felt bad. The first day I think just put a bad taste in our mouth. We ended up staying longer and having to switch rooms since we decided last minute (which was totally fine happy they found us a room) but both of our rooms had a pretty bad ant/pest problem. We did laundry through the hotel and it was supposed to be 24 hr service but good thing we stayed longer because we did not receive it for a couple of days. The rooms seemed more worn down than last time we stayed. Our second room had portable ac units that didn’t seem to get as cool since the window was partially open for the intake. Overall just not what we were expecting especially for the price. The staff and everyone seemed all nice though, no complaints there. Just seemed understaffed and not taken care of as well. Hoping to write this review to help because we really did love staying there the first time!

The linens are crisp, the grounds are well maintained, the staff always greets you with a smile and that includes room service, valet, front desk. I love that when I go out for the day, and return to a freshly made up bed, towels refreshed, items strategically placed its a sign you have been pampered. You're being well taken care of. I've been staying here for the last 5 years and it will always be a sweet home away from home.

My family and I just stayed here for a few days in the vista suite and it was amazing. The service was what made it beyond. House keeping (Perla & Javier) left the room spotless everyday demonstrating fantastic attention to detail. The turn down service employees were so kind and sweet to our son. The front desk personnel were also knowledgeable & attentive and the valet guys, man were they busy and hardworking. Like I said, the employees were what really made our stay so special. Our room also had a spectacular view, this resort was central which made it convenient going anywhere. Would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointing anniversary experience. They celebrated their 40th anniversary this year, they should have spent time renovating and improving the property. The over layout is very disappointing. Very crowded into the hill side. Very little common area except down by the river. Most of the rooms have no view. Way over priced. Rooms needed refurbishing. very old and outdated. Pool area was something from an old motel. There is no reason to stay here, and over pay for this outdated property. It really needs to be totally redone, and even then, the crowded layout will limit its attractiveness.

In response to your comments. First we did bring up numerous concerns while we were there. Second. Because you are renovating in the future does not justify bad experience today and excessive pricing.

Make sure there isn't a wedding reception on the nights you are going if you are going for the purpose of relaxation/peace and quiet. We were located right next to the building it was in and the music/and people were loud until 11 pm. This doesn't align with a relaxing spa experience if that is what you seek. The property is very nice, I just wouldn't say the value is there for the price depending on the experience you are seeking. If we had at least been informed and allowed the option to go somewhere else that would have made a small difference in knowing the hotel cares about everyones individcual experience.
