I took some friends and family on the Sunset Strip Experience over the weekend, firstly because I saw the reviews were great and secondly because I live nearby and the thought of going in to Hollywood for a tour was less than enticing.
This was more for my friends and family than myself, but i have to say I think I enjoyed it the most! I am a big advocate for sustainable tourism, so the fact it was a walking tour was great, plus the weather was incredible (It's L.A. so that's rarely not the case).
The hour and a half or so flew by and I was astounded at the depth and uniqueness of the content on the tour. The stories were so engaging and the added touch of music really propelled the experience to show-like quality. The guide was really fun and funny and the entire experience felt like it was created just for us. It was incredible to see how the guide applied the stories to resonate with individuals in the group. We had a great time and hung out at the Rainbow bar and grill afterwards for some well deserved drinks - per the guides recommendation. This Tour has made me re-evaluate the quality of Hollywood's tours/experience and I would highly recommend it to tourists and locals! Thanks LA Stories!

My husband & I did this tour as part of our vacation and it was one of the highlights. David was great & full of information! We learned so many things about places & events. David went out of his way to find out what interested us & tailored the tour to our interests. It was a great afternoon. If you're in LA do yourself a favor and take this tour. My Wife and I spontaneously took the Sunset Strip Experience yesterday on our last day off before going back to work. We are so glad we did! It was awesome, so insightful and entertaining. We are L.A. Locals and normally shy away from these kinds of things as a lot of the tours look really cheesy and dated. I am happy to say that this was not the case and we struck gold! The stories were incredible, the soundtrack was epic and the way it all tied together was like being part of a show. I don't think I knew any of the stories we heard prior to the tour, even though I travel through the Sunset Strip daily. It's amazing what you miss when you're in your car.
I also loved the fact that it was a walking tour; great for the environment, and so much more immersive. I still can't believe the story about the "Triangle of dirt" (I don't want to give it away on here).
We will be bringing all of our visiting friends and relatives to this when they come to L.A. in the future. Thanks for such a great way to kick off the New Year!

Awesome tour. Fun, engaging, great history and culture, terrific storytelling and I literally hadn't heard ANY of the stories before. I am a big fan of the Rock scene on Sunset and other tours I have taken just don't do it justice. This one was so different, it really captured the feel of what it was like to be there through the generations of the music and the events that changed the strip over the years. The soundtracks to the stories were rockin' and totally appropriate as well.

I highly recommend this tour!! I am a local and got my friends from out of town to do this tour with me and we all loved it! David was super friendly, insanely knowledgeable and it was a great tour! I have family coming in from out of town this summer and we will be doing LA Stories again !

Have 3 teens who are easily bored & one gets car motion sickness.
The owner David asked about us, even the specific triggers for my son’s car sickness. Along with the itinerary, he even factored in minimal curvy roads.
David picked us up at our hotel promptly in a new SUV- clean and Dramamine for my son! The driver was very safe.
Bc David regularly asked my carsick prone son how was he doing, ie if a snack or stop was needed, he never felt sick! You won't get this attention from anywhere but LA Stories!
David is charming & related to my boys- he would point out locations in the Grand Theft Auto PS4 game. He shares the real stories of LA not the trite ones on other tours.
We talked Bradley Cooper & Gaga, Real Housewives, and even went into Cartier just the two of us to have a look. He is like a friend that I have known for years. LA Stories is so far from the tourist trap tours.
LA Stories makes this YOUR tour. We did odd mix- OJ and Nicole’s houses, Biggie shooting intersection. You never worry about the traffic & you are dropped off at the location, when you are done the driver picks you up. Last min changes are fine!
David timed the end of tour at the Griffin Observ at sunset. We were in a huge line of cars. Was sure we'd miss sunset, but with a special license plate, we parked steps from the observatory, we saw the most beautiful sunset at the Hollywood sign! Whatever your needs, LA Stories will give the most unforgettable and comfortable experience based on what YOU want!

SO MUCH FUN! Great energy and a great way to get to know the city as a local or with tourists. Everyone gets headsets and there is a soundtrack all through out the tour which is engaging. It's a bunch of real life stories that happened at different spots from the 40s to present. Fascinating for history buffs especially. It was like going on a tour with your best friend who loves their city so much and has a ton of random facts to share.

This was one of the most fun tours I've ever been on! I took two of my friends who were visiting LA for the first time and it was a perfect way to get them aquatinted with the city. Also its so great for photo ops to post on Instagram or Facebook!
