This is our second trip planned through KimKim. Our first trip was to Greece, but not the traditional itinerary of 2-3 overly touristy islands. Chris did an amazing job, exceeding all of our expectations!
Then, we planned Galapagos 2024 - Excellent Trip as well!
My husband and I just completed a 9 day trip to (Quito and) the Galapagos Islands. We want to recognize the highlights of our trip with a few special commendations.
Angie Maldonado - the Ecuadorian travel planner - Did an excellent job booking all the drivers, local transportation, excursions, hotels, and even dining for Christmas eve, and Christmas Day! We wanted to feel entrenched in the local culture, and we did!
Quito - Outstanding guide: Cristobal! We thoroughly enjoyed his tireless attention from the time of our arrival at the airport to our departure. He was a wealth of knowledge, attentive, shared so much with us, including recommendations for local foods. Exceptional experience! We stayed in Casona de la Ronda and loved the accommodations and the staff as well!
Santa Cruz - We stayed at the Acacia Boutique Hotel. Perfect location, lovely people, spacious accommodations. Excellent choice for us! We loved our excursion to the highlands to see the Tortoises and our excursion to Bartolome island where we snorkeled, and saw sharks, penguins, and the famous blue footed boobies along the way as well. The scenery was exceptional! We also spent time visiting N. Seymour Island. Busy schedule, but wouldn't change any of it.
Isabela Island - A welcome quiet experience on this island. Less commercialized, at this time... hope it stays that way. Very much enjoyed all of our day excursions, but our favorite was Los Tunneles, and our hike on the Sierra Negra Volcano. We were here for 3 nights, and wish we had had another day or 2 to explore and relax more.

We loved our trip to Ecuador! We appreciate all the drivers, guides, boat captains, restaurant and hotel workers who were so kind, and always helpful. The food was delicious everywhere!
We love the model for KimKim - with local agents planning the trip! They are also a great contact if you have any hiccups/issues/concerns during your trip, and Angie was very responsive, and did "check on us" to make sure all was going well.
Thank you for the surprise of covering our Christmas Dinner!

Kimkim was great in communicating and planning an amazing trip to Switzerland. Great communication before, during, and after the trip. We were able to describe the good and bad from previous vacations and they took that and helped create a memorable experience. Good picks on some of the guides that gave us a boutique experience in an amazing country.

This trip took a year to plan, though that time Lorena was so patient and communicated very well. The itinerary that she made for me was tweaked for my liking. Everything was to the T from pick up, tour, hotel, bus. The hotel that she picked was great. Lorena did an excellent job and her team was great.I was going to this trip knowing it's going to be a good trip but it exceeded my expectations it was great!!

This was my first time using Kimkim and I can’t wait to use them again! Having a travel specialist - Irene - with first hand knowledge of the cities I would be seeing made this trip an absolute dream. I appreciated being able to discuss and refine the itinerary so it fit my timeline, my goals and my budget.
All of the big details were well thought out and top notch .. our accommodations were charming; transportation was planned, ticketed and on time and the guides we worked with took a lot of pride in sharing their cities and country with us. This left my partner and me free to enjoy the views and soak up the experience.

My family of 4 just had our winter holiday, christmas through new year in Finland and it was EPIC! My family travel a lot, in fact this is the 8th country we visited for just 2024 alone. This company gave us more than we expected…very nice accomodations and professional business associates / partners for our excursions and transfers..Finland was a last minute decision where we only had a month to plan and everything online was getting more expensive literally by the minute and everything were already fully booked especially the igloos (my husband and i normally book hotels, car rentals, excursions , etc.. on our own for practical reasons). As we were digging for options on the internet this agency popped up and at that point desperate. This was our first time with this company and at first we were skeptical and really nervous making a full payment for our trip without knowing the legitimacy of the other person on the other end. Moonika was our agent who seemed reliable and sounded legitimate as we were going through the booking process. She was prompt and always available to answer our queries.. and of course the reviews that seemed real helped a lot too. She listened to our wishes for this trip and she did well in tailoring our trip from start to finish. It was well thought for which I realized on our last day where she placed us in the igloo in Levi and my wish to see the aurora dance all night really came true!.. Not to mention she made sure we did the snowshoeing on new years eve which lead us to an open area with the clearest skies which was already beautifully decorated by the lights of the nearby ski resort and there it was the aurora literally lit up the skies even before the fireworks did!..

Moonika actually showed up to personally welcome us during our very first night in Finland— this gave us a huge relief just putting a face behind the voice and the goody bag was a really sweet gesture!

We had a 3-4 hour excursion in almost every single day in our 10-day stay which was enough as we also needed extra time for skiing which we managed on our own. Except for the igloo, the accommodations we stayed in were clean, cute and had 2 floors except which allowed my hubby and i to have our own privacy away from the kids. Staff were nice and breakfast buffet was well stocked and fresh all the time

The excursions had really nice staff including the drivers for transport. They were prompt and followed the schedule to the T. We were always in a small group which allowed us to have quality and quantity in our experience

Overall, I highly recommend this company if you plan to visit Finland for your full arctic holiday experience without the stress! —— Santa claus, reindeers, sledding with reindeers and huskies, northern lights, ice fishing, ice hotel, etc

KimKim put me on an awesome trip! Kateryna did an exceptional job working within my budget and creating an itinerary that struck the perfect balance between seeing the sights and truly experiencing the UK. The communication before and during my trip was clear and informative, which made everything so smooth. I loved driving through the beautiful English countryside—it was such a relaxing and scenic experience. One of my favorite moments was the boat tour on the Thames, which offered a unique and peaceful perspective of the area. Overall, I felt like I got an authentic taste of the UK and came home with amazing memories (and plenty of photos!).

My husband and I recently did a 12-day tour with Wanderlust Voyages -- booking via Kimkim -- in Morocco. It was incredible -- and I do not have sufficient words to describe how strongly I recommend Wanderlust. We had a positive experience from the initial inquiry through to our drop-off at the airport.

We chose to do a custom itinerary, starting and ending in Marrakech (where I was traveling for work). We visited Marrakech, the Boulmane Dades, Erg Chebbi, Fes, Chefchauouen, Rabat, Casablanca, and then back to Marrakech. We began our inquiry with Wanderlust with a detailed survey and Megan and her team did an amazing job of pulling together an itinerary that captured everything we were interested in, making recommendations about when/where to do certain activities, and identifying absolutely incredible riads and lodging. They were also incredibly quick in responding, making adjustments that we were interested in, and providing additional detail and information when we asked.

Our itinerary was perfect -- and complete kudos go to Megan and the team for pulling together such a stellar trip! The only thing I would change would be to add another night at Erg Chebbi (giving us two total) so that we could have a full desert day -- but that would have required a longer trip. Everything from the riads they selected, to the balance of guided tours, free time, activities, and sight-seeing was perfect. This was the first trip I've booked through a travel agency, and I would 100% do it again.

I also want to give a special shout-out, thank you, and note of appreciation to our incredible driver, Hassan Amraoui. Our experience would not have been the same without him. Hassan went out of his way to give us an amazing experience. He doubled as a tour guide, kept everything running smoothly, on-time, and hassle-free, and did it all with such positive energy & a smile on his face. We left Morocco feeling like we gained a true friend during our stay! Hassan, thank you!

Our trip highlights included:
- Marrakech & the many sights and activities that the medina has to offer. The detailed architecture is truly breathtaking, and each stop in Marrakech presents something special and unique.
- Erg Chebbi. INCREDIBLE. The rolling dunes of sand are breathtaking, and the desert luxury camp is a must-see!
- Fes was such a fun city & so, so different from Marrakech. We were very grateful to have a guide in the medina -- it's not an easy one to navigate! But, a must-see!
- Chefchaouen. A beautiful town, and wandering through the medina spalshed in hundreds of shades of blue was phenomenal.
- Hammam. A must-do! We did ours at Riad Kniza in Marrakech and it was the perfect way to relax, and wind down after a long trip.
- We particularly loved our two riads in Marrakech: La Maison Arabe and Riad Kniza. They were absolutely stunning.

Thank you Megan, Winnie, Hassan, and the many guides and riad staff who gave us such an unforgettable, magical experience in Morocco. We would love to return!
