As a local who only comes here when family/friends from out of state visit the region, don't come here. Sure, it's got that tropical esthetic, but food, parking, and most souvenirs are super expensive. There are plenty of places to eat and buy souvenirs on the mainland that are way more affordable.

Bunch of dining, shopping and boat tours. If you just watch the water from the pier, you should be able to see dolphins. The beach is just across the road, where you can enjoy the water and watch the sunset.

It's good to see so many businesses reopen. Inventory levels are good. Restaurants are bustling. The beaches are good. A well done rebuild from the hurricane damage incurred.

Always make time to stop here. So many shops, restaurants and sites to see. Friendly Fisherman is always ready for a fishing adventure. Jet skis, pirate ships and more.

Although some areas were still being rebuilt from hurricane damage, most shops and restaurants were open. It was nice to explore the area and get souvenirs. We even saw some pelicans dive-bombing the water for food.

We booked John's Pass Pirate adventure cruise. We all loved it! 4 children and 5 adults. They kept the kids aged 3-12 busy for the entire time, from squirt guns, face painting, storytelling, and, of course, the pirate ship and enthusiastic staff were all a hit.
