This is an annual event for us. We try and book at the beginning of our visit. The opportunity to get away from the crowds an relax while kayaking mule key sets the mood for our vacation. Each we have had three different captains and each has made our excursion special. We love being reminded of how unique the Keys are. Seeing the wildlife and mangrove eco system is always a joy. This year we even saw a large turtle and much more. This trip is always a highlight. Also, you get the chance to sail, snorkel.

Just went with Liz as our captain on the half day sail/snorkel/kayak and had a great time. Our two teens also loved it. Relaxing motor / sail (no wind that morning) out to mule key, get to hang in the front of the catamaran in the net areas soaking in the peaceful ocean and views. Then we took two tandem kayaks to the mangroves where Liz described the local wildlife and fauna. A very easy paddle back and forth. Then we moved to our snorkel location and did that for maybe 30-45 minutes. Came back to some juicy pineapple and watermelon (and pretzels) that Liz cut up for us. Motor / sailed back to Key West but I spotted 3 dolphins en route so Liz moved closer and one of the dolphins was in a playful mood and came within a few feet of the boat which was exciting and fun - some good pics.

Overall I definitely recommend them, was a great and relaxing experience.

Separately, if helpful, I parked in Bight lot which had a ton of spots early in the morning (had breakfast at Harpoon Harry’s which is right there as well). Bight lot can pay with the Passport Parking app zone 33046 I believe, but it’s not cheap. Think I paid $50 from 7:10am-3:10pm, probably can find cheaper options.
