This place is 5 stars across the board! My husband and I were on a "date night" and wanted to try a new restaurant. We were NOT disappointed! Our server was very attentive; his timing was perfect throughout all phases of our meal. The gentleman (whose name I did not catch, unfortunately) was making rounds through the dining area, making sure guests were content. He gave us each a sample of Sorrel drink; it was AMAZING, and now I'm obsessed! I never would have tried it had he not recommended it! We foolishly asked for salt and pepper before we tried our food; the entrees we ordered needed neither. I highly recommend the oxtails! The atmosphere was so welcoming and laid back. It was such a great experience, and we will DEFINITELY be back with friends/family.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic was my last visit to your establishment prompted a recent return. I was highly satisfied with the service provided from beginning to end; the food quality was exceptional, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was outstanding. However, minor improvements could enhance the experience. The waitstaff appeared occasionally overwhelmed, requiring several consultations with management. Furthermore, while not obligatory, increasing the military discount from 2% to 5% or more would be a welcome enhancement, especially considering the 2.5% convenience fee effectively offsets the existing discount. Overall, your establishment is excellent. I will be back for more.

It pains me to leave a 3 star review, because the food was amazing. The service is what’s hurting this review. But here it is.

Things started great, service was quick and food was great. Ordered 2 deserts (to go). 3 deserts came out. Fine we will pay for the 3rd desert as it will probably get eaten. Got the bill and noticed extra charges for the ice cream (that’s supposed to come with the desert). Clearly stated on the menu that desert “served with ice cream”. Waitress said “that’s the rules, i just work here”. Instead of offering to fix it.

Also, no cocoa bread is server here which is a bummer, but not a deal breaker.

I will reiterate the fact that the food was amazing, but service could be better and menu expectations could be better.

Started with the conch fritters and pineapple mango chutney, yes, yes and more yes… so 🤤! Then thanks to their recommendation had the oxtail, red-beans and rice with fries plantains…🔥🔥🔥, nothing but flavor and exceeding expectations!!! The drinks were tasty AF too! Will definitely make it back! 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻

The best part of the meal was the Pineapple Lemonade and the fact that they served plantains. I absolutely love plantains, however, the ones provided were chewy in texture and tasted as though they were either overcooked or old. We tried the Curry Chicken and Jerk Pork for the lunch bowls. The jerk pork was quite good, it had good spices and went well with the rice and beans. The curry chicken was good, but there was very little curry. It was more like eating plain rice with bits of seasoned chicken and a piece of a potato. I gave the mango juice a try and while it was bottled from Canada, it still tastes good as another drink option. The Pineapple Lemonade I believe is made on site, but I'm not certain. We also gave the loaded fries with Oxtail Gravy a try. The gravy was good, however the fries were undercooked. The food overall was average to below average quality and could do better. The staff was friendly, though they seemed understaffed. I really wanted to love this place as it's next to one of our favorite ice cream stops; we might give it another try to see if it's better on a different day.

I was craving some Guyanese food today when I remembered that my good friend owns a restaurant called Irie Diner at 1177 Park Ave, which serves Guyanese curry goat and Jamaican cuisine. I decided to order the Guyanese curry goat, along with some callaloo and plantains. Let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious! I also noticed the Guinness punch and decided to give it a try. It was fantastic! I think I’ve found a new favorite. #iriediner

Always my go to spot for amazing Jerk Chicken. I usually order food to go but was invited in by the owner to try a drink called Sorrel, like a herbal tea. One of the greatest things I have tasted. If you like amazing food and amazing people, you have found your place.

As a New Yorker who has experienced countless Jamaican cuisine, I found this Gem in Orange Park Jacksonville. I'm so fortunate I decided to stop in for a meal. The food satisfies expectation, the Service is amazing, and Pete the owner was delightful. I Recommend this to everyone who wants to enjoy a Traditional Jamaican meal. You won't regret it .
