I really like this little motel, I come to San Luis Obispo every few months to visit my incarcerated loved one and this is where I stay every time. The rooms are clean and peaceful and just very comforting and I feel safe. I do wish the check in time was a little earlier.

Would not recommend. Room smelled terrible!

What I liked:
* Great location
* Clean sheets & generally clean room

What I didn't like:
* The room smelled really terrible! Super musky / mildewy. I suspect it has to do with poor ventilation. This was BY FAR the biggest issue. It just felt really gross inside, and made our stay very uncomfortable.
* The spa / hot tub did not work
* Most cable channels on the satellite TV got audio only
* The room and fixtures were rather decrepit and can really use a renovation
* Pricey for what you get. Bad value.

Room was clear and well organized. The ability to close the door to the toilet, while giving other family members access to the sink and shower is helpful. Thought the public facilities (lobby/workout room/pool) were also good.||Breakfast was really good value. Eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes as well as the standard fruit/cereal/yogurt/bagels.

Accommodation was great despite the pool and spa being serviced. Food was great! Most importantly, staff member Jolene was what customer service should be like in every hotel. Top notch business acumen. Definitely a great location and minutes to downtown.

Positive: Absolutely nothing Negative: The website advertised a heated pool. The pool was not heated. My bathroom was infested with black mold. The room was EXTREMELY dirty in general. I've never been in a hotel room that dirty. I actually wrote wash me in the thick dust on one of the tables.

Great service, clean rooms, very close to cal poly and downtown. Continent breakfast was better than average. Would definitely stay here again. SLO is a beautiful city. We were beee to visit the school in case my son decides he wants to live here.

Great hotel and location. We really enjoyed the beds and the accommodations. Very good restaurant and nice breakfast. We were visiting some friends from Cal Poly and this hotel was recommend by them. We hope to be back and explore some more of SLO in the near future.

One night stay for a game at the university nearby. We arrived early and we were told to come back at 3pm to check in. I requested a room that was ready, they said all rooms have been assigned and ours was not ready. After walking out they called me back in and decided to move rooms so we could check in to one that was cleaned. That was much appreciated. Removed a star for the hot tub being down. Removed a second star for no breakfast. Several reviews on here comment on the complimentary breakfast. This was big the case. Great value for a one night stay.
