This was an amazing evening that I will never forget. David was such a great tour guide, making sure everyone was comfortable as the tour progressed around the perimeter of Goose Pond. He knows every bird sound he hears and pulled off at several places where we could see and hear an unbelievable variety of birds. He would pull out his scope and in less than a minute have it focused so we could see them in all their vibrant glory. As a novice birder, I was thrilled to add 15 new birds to my lifelist (And I only add them if I’ve seen them. We heard dozens more than that.) David also pointed out and explained bird behavior, which was fascinating. I learned so much and can’t really put into words what a soul-cleansing experience it was.

David was an awesome guide! Even though the weather was quite hot, he figured out a way to give us a tour of the entire Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge AND see quite an impressive variety of birds! We spend some of the tour in the car, while stopping at his favorite places for different birds. So glad I brought my camera.

David is such a delightful person to lead these birding walks. He’s SO knowledgable about wherever we bird, sharing info about our surroundings & the birds we see & hear! The small intimate groups are so ideal as you get to chat in a relaxed setting about all things birds! These are truly “mental health care” excursions to get out & bird with David!! ?‍⬛?

We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset kayak tour with IndiGo Birding! We saw so many birds, geese, ducks, a deer, two mature and a fledgling bald eagle, and a beaver dam - WOW, that's a lot in around two hours on the water. David was thoughtful and a wonderful guide sharing lots of information about the area and the wildlife he pointed out along the way. You can tell he loves what he's doing.

In this unassuming quiet place, on a stunningly beautiful sunny spring day, David helped us see 43 different birds. We simply stopped along the road, listened intently, set up the scope, and the birds were there. Not in flocks, but just living their very distinct lives.
