If you’re thinking about booking this, stop thinking and do it. So much fun. We had a 3 hour morning ride with Taylor. He was fantastic. Fun and patient every time we got stuck. Visibility was low, but fresh snow was high and experience was still great. Whole crew was helpful with info on the area. Definitely recommend.

If you are thinking about booking here you will not regret it!! We had 10 dudes for a half day. They supplied top notch equipment with more than enough power. They were ready for us and super pumped upon arrival. Show up, sign your release, get fitted for a helmet and your ready to ride. If you bring your own goggles you’re better off even though they have some for sale.

We started off the first hour cruising and hitting small jumps so the guides could get a feel for the riding abilities of our group. One guide in the front and one in the back. Our group was fairly experienced and didn’t stick to the trails very well and the guides didn’t care. They were more there to show us where to go and to help us when/if we got stuck(which a few guys did). They never told us no or to slow down like my parents prob would have.

The sleds are new every year and will with ease go over 70mph quickly if you want them too.

I can’t say enough about the awesome guides. Their attitudes really made the day exciting and fun.

I’ll definitely be back! Thanks fellas!

We had so much fun. We took the train from Durango Ang for off in Rockport. Maggie picked us up to take us to Ice Pirates - She was super nice. At their base camp everyone was friendly and helpful. It was our first time on a snowmobile adventure. Our guide Trevor, was great! Would definitely recommend. We would definitely do this adventure again!

We had the absolute best experience snowmobiling here!!! Our guide Taylor had the perfect combination of safety and fun for the entire group we went with. He started us out slowly and gave us opportunities to get a feel for the machines. Hey kept a close eye on everyone and made sure we all had fun!!!

My wife and I booked a four-hour ride with Ice Pirates in January. We were able to wait for a decent weather window and book late enough to ensure good chances of nice weather and it was great. This was our first time riding snowmobiles, but we picked it up quickly and were able to head up several, fun hills, which provided great views.

Our guides really pulled out all the stops (and my sled, after I buried the track on a hill). We rode on both sides of the highway. We stopped briefly to play in a more open area with deeper snow (and we were on the trail ride, not the back country one). We spent the day on brand new, 2023 Polaris 2-strokes.

We stayed in Ouray (YUR-ay), but Silverton would also have been an option, and closer, but regardless, check out the "million dollar highway" before you head out there, because it looked a bit sketchy in places. We had good weather and I felt fine driving without much traffic around me in my F-150 on 35s in 4WD, but if we'd been in a small rental in bad weather and traffic, I'd have been in full pucker for sure.

Lunch was provided halfway through the ride. It was good and the break to rest was nice (and heated). Hot water was also available for hot chocolates.

Both my wife and I felt perfectly safe the whole time. Our guides were very open to answering our questions about technique and sled mechanics. We brought our own helmets (full-faced Fly Formula CPs), but they had plenty available there in a wide variety of sizes.

We arrived with open minds, looking forward to learning about riding snowmobiles and having fun. We left confident, better-educated riders and can't wait to book another trip. It was well worth the money.
