Food was great. Steak was delicious. And the prices are reasonable. Service was some of the best around. We will visit again.

This was our second stay and was very nice even if we had the smallest room, AND IT IS SMALL! So amazing, this establishment from the 1850's, rich in history, has been maintained and updated so nicely. We started and ended up in the bar with a fabulous meal in between. The staff is great and the owner, Kristine is simply amazing!

Fantastic location to access all that Algoma has to offer within walking distance. Knocked 1 star off for speed of wifi, not enough bandwidth to stream when everyone is online.

this is the perfect hotel if you’re looking for a lowkey, cozy place to spend your night. it’s an amazing preservation of history! the staff are all so, so kind and truly make you feel at home. me and my partner went in not long before close, and asked if they’d be okay with us eating there. we were fully prepared to find another spot, but they were gracious enough to stay to serve us. our waitress went above and beyond to make the experience special, even setting romantic ambiance and relighting the candle at our table! the rooms were cutely themed and clean, but a little quaint. this was no complaint to me, as i felt it fit with the historical vibe. there is also a beautiful beach just a short stroll from the hotel. me and my partner never imagined to have such a nice time when we stopped in the small town, but we’ve made several plans to stop back since!

Awesome location, in this quaint town by the lake! My friend and I stayed one night. We stayed in the Victorian Suite. Small sitting room with a tv and sofa bed couch. There was also a microwave and small fridge. There is a door between that room and the bedroom. Thank goodness because even with the baseboard heaters, there was a lot of cold air coming through the windows. The room was full of antiques and even with the 'Victorian" theme, I feel that windows, walls, doors, hardware and heating system could use an update. Each room has a theme so i am not sure how the other rooms look. There were a bunch of hand towels in the bathroom however only one large bath towel. Also, only 1 roll of tp was on the spindle. The staff leaves when the bar closes..830pm I believe...so the front desk/bartender..advised we were to call a # if we needed anything. Maybe someone lives closeby so they can bring you whatever or answer any questions. The door to the hotel stays open 365 days a year which in a small town, doesn't seem to be an issue. Overall, decent place. Comfortable bed. Price $124 with tax. Centrally located.

My sisters and I stayed here during our visit to the area. We also ate here one night. The room was clean and offered some simple comforts. There was a window AC unit in the living space between the 2 bedrooms. it sometimes did not cool the bedrooms enough for sleeping. The beds could use new mattresses. It is a historic building so the floors are a bit uneven in places. There was plenty of hot water for showering. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The food was tasty the night we ate there. Service was good. You can tell the people are invested in the locals and their out-of-town guests.

We loved our stay! Great fish buffet, Great room!! My husband grew up there and was visiting his brothers! All the way from Whitehouse, TX. (Go Mahomes)Texas wife loves Wisconsin too❤ Curds & Side Pork!!
