When we stay at the Hotel Rodney, we feel like family! We have been staying with you for over 20 years. The accommodations are very good and the staff is excellent, especially hard working Tina!
The Hotel Rodney is the best kept secret on the Delaware shore.

The room was clean, warm, and cozy. Ed was wonderful to talk to. He was tremendously helpful and we had a lovely chat with him on Saturday evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the attached restaurant. The location could not have been better—right on Second Street. Will definitely visit again.

The Hotel Rodney is so charming! This was our first time staying there and it was so lovely! My (now husband!) and I went here for a few days after we got married to get some downtime and recoup after the wedding. The manager, Ed, even brought us some champagne up to our room, we were so touched by the personal touches! The room was cozy and private, and had a gorgeous view of the historical church next door. This is a European style hotel, so it's more charming than a big hotel but not as small as a bed and breakfast. We got the personal touches with it still being a very clean, lovely hotel experience. Thank you! We are already planning to come back to this hotel for a few nights again on our anniversary next year. If you are visiting Lewes, I highly recommend this hotel 🙂

[1] The staff is wonderful. We worked with Tina, Alicia, and Ed, and all were incredibly friendly and helpful. Tina remembered that we had stayed there a year ago, and even remembered the occasion that brought us to Lewes.
[2] f you are looking to visit Lewes, DE, the location is perfect. You can walk out the door and be a block from numerous shops and restaurants, and really don't have to drive anywhere (unless you want to).
[3] The only reason I gave the room 4 stars instead of five is that the wall between our room and the next was a little thin, and we could hear them talking a number of times.

I received a parking ticket during the 5 minutes it took to check in, which definitely put a stain on my stay here. I'd recommend skipping Lewes if you are planning a trip to the area, or if you stay here don't follow the instructions from the hotel about parking in the loading zone to check in and just go find somewhere a couple blocks away to park first and walk with your luggage to the hotel. Everything else about the hotel and room was fine.

The Hotel Rodney was our selection for our club's Girls Nite Out. and boy are we thrilled. The hotel treated us like royalty, it is a small property and it was given over so that our club had the property to ourselves. We are a food and wine club from a senior community at the Jersey Shore, it required a 3 hour bus ride to arrive. We did arrive at noon and Jessica the manager, Cathy the owner, and Tina the assistant manager were at the door to greet us. All of them helped with the bags and the owner escorted our driver to his parking spot. How more helpful can the staff be?|| We were then off and running to shop and then get ready for the rest of the day which I will give kudos to in my next review. The Rodney also provided the use of of their wonderful bar after dinner which was for us alone, terrific bartender. The Manager was there to answer any questions and wish us a good night. In the morning a delicious buffet was provided, this was especially for our group. ||Our group has been doing Girls Nite Out for many years this was without doubt flawless. Thanks to Jessica, Cathy and Tina and the wonderfulness of Hotel Rodney

I loved everything about the hotel. Sure it's not super modern, but that's the charm of the hotel, but the staff is super helpful and the rooms are clean as can be and I could have fit at least four people in the rain shower, better than most hotels. I would stay here in a heartbeat. If you want to be the heart of Lewis, across the street from Agave and Kings Ice Cream, stay here. There bar is very nice too!

This was our first time visiting in Lewes Delaware. The staff at Hotel Rodney was so welcoming. We were greeted as welcome guest. Handed our old school room key and directed to the lift for our luggage. This get away was a much needed break for corporate life. The hotel and the town was so relaxing. Getting the history lesson was also enjoyable. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. We plan to return in the future.
