Horizon Inn & Suites in Belle Glade? They should change the name to "Horror Inn & Suites" because that’s exactly what you’re signing up for. First off, this place crams so many people into one room, you’d think they’re filming an episode of "Extreme Roommates!" Five or more people per room? Absolutely ridiculous. And forget about cleanliness—it’s like they’ve never heard of vacuums, fresh linens, or any concept of hygiene whatsoever. You’d be better off sleeping in your car. The whole experience is like a game of "How Many Things Can Go Wrong In One Stay?" From messy rooms to non-stop chaos, you’ll be on constant alert, fearing for your sanity as much as your safety. Belle Glade, you really need to do better—this place is an embarrassment. Save yourself and book ANYWHERE else.

Do not stay here. We were caught in bad weather and needed a place to stay. They were nice at the front desk. But.... the dresser was broken. The room was not clean. A few dead bugs.
After we took showers, drain flies swarmed all over the bathroom. We had to keep the door closed and spray a can of OFF every time we needed to go in. Drain flies are present when there are sewage issues. Gross. This is the worse room we ever stayed in. We should have taken on the bad weather 15 more minutes and gone to the next town.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent stay at this hotel. My experience was extremely disappointing, prompting me to check out earlier than planned.

The primary issue was that the air conditioner in my room was not working, making my stay unbearably uncomfortable due to the heat.

To make matters worse, when I approached the receptionist to report the issue, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. Her attitude was unprofessional and unhelpful, leaving me feeling frustrated and unheard. When I escalated the matter to the manager, I was met with the same level of hostility and indifference. This is not the level of service I expect.

I am deeply disappointed with the way I was treated and the lack of basic amenities provided. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure that other guests do not have to endure a similar experience.

First room we was given toilet didn’t work and no running water rooms stink roaches in rooms and they beat you getting mad at their mistakes. For sure not worth 150 a night it should be robbery.

My room is nice, looks like they are remodeling the rooms and the exterior, will be a real nice place when work is done. My room has a full size refridge ( though ice maker not working, but there is an ice machine a few rooms down), microwave, cable tv (not many stations) and free wifi. Not very busy, so it's nice and quiet. Close to lots of restaurants and stores. Little pricey at $95 a night, but it's convenient... Overall, a 4 star review.

Arrived in Belle Glade late-ish and short of gas. A gas-station manager recommended this place. Had it not been so late we would have preferred to have stayed elsewhere. The town is notorious for its gang-related violence and while this has no bearing on this motel, it serves as a warning to visitors.||Our room was OK, just. The carpet felt greasy underfoot, and although someone had recently given the walls a freshen up, there were paint spatters in the sink and on the surfaces. No coffee was provided and upon asking I was given some, but no kettle either, meant an early trip up the road to find a fast-food outlet. The wifi (though free) was patchy and only accessible outside on the stairs and the outside line wasn't available at all. I don't consider $70 cheap for what we got.||On a positive side, the night clerk and manager's wife were friendly and helpful and we did not feel threatened or intimidated by some quite 'colourful' residents we met. We bought take-out from over the road and again felt quite safe. Make no mistake. this is a rough area, but with normal sensible precautions you should be fine. Where does this motel score ? Middle-of-the-road.

A horribly frustrating experience. Obviously very little effort is put in to cleaning this place. I arrived late the day of check-in and attempted to ignore the dirty walls and the gross tub; I had to go to work early the next day, and I was desperate for sleep. The next day I went to work. I promptly returned to the hotel when I got off and decided to do some more inspecting. That's when I saw the larger bug perched in a corner and the smaller one moving from the bed. I pulled the sheets off the bed and found those large stains. I lifted the mattress and found that other large stain. It was disgusting. I feared a bug infestation and was uncomfortable staying the night. So I approached the front desk and asked if I could talk to the general manager and/or owner about getting a refund for the second night so I could go somewhere else and not have to worry about being out $75. The attendant claimed he did not have the contact information for EITHER the general manager or owner. He claimed there was no way those bugs could possibly have been there since he cleaned the room that same day. There was no way of getting a refund or even talking to anyone of authority. He WALKED AWAY from me in the middle of a sentence. Never have I had such a negative experience at a hotel or been so talked down to by a customer service professional.

This hotel is basic, but generally well maintained. Flat screens and upgraded fridge in rooms I've had, and the hotel is a quiet place to crash when visiting friends in Belle Glade. The bathrooms are always clean which is a big thing for me. Could use some upgrading but for 65/night this is decent.
