Beautiful view!! Especially at sunset, you get to see the golds/reds that are cast from the sun into the entire canyon. Plus on the other side is the sunset. If you go in April bring a coat and possibly a blanket. The view was worth it but we frozeeee our buts off. Plus since it’s popular there a huge crowd that rushes to the buses right after the sunset. Pro- the buses are very punctual and arrive just before the sun finished setting and they keep coming back to back until every visitor is picked up

Perfectly spot to watch the sunset and sunrise. Get there 30 minutes early or you'll be stuck parking way down the street.

Plenty of seating and ample railing views. Also there's some high rock walls next to the street for some really good photos to crop out people.

It's located on the hermit road. Which is only accessible via the shuttle bus. The point is particularly renowned for its breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, casting the canyon walls in a magical glow. While there's a short walk to reach Hopi Point, it's generally considered accessible to most visitors. The views from Hopi Point are truly awe-inspiring, so don't forget to capture the moment with your camera.

One of stunning viewpoints of the canyons in South rim with the colorado river

This was as a fantastic place to view the sunset over the Grand Canyon. It was relatively crowded for a Saturday night, but given we were there between Christmas and New Year (a very busy season) it wasn't too bad. If were to see sunset again, though, we'd probably go a little further down Hermit Rd and watch the sun set over the "Abyss", though I'm not sure we'd get parking there as the lot is tiny. Unfortunately Hermit Rd is only open to vehicles in Winter months, so during the summer I believe you'll need to take the shuttle, with which I have no experience.

We enjoyed our time at the canyon. I will always remember how amazed I was when I walked to the rim. I hope to explore the other rims in the future.
When I told my granddaughter where I was she asked "the real grand canyon".
