Our group of novice to seasoned snorkelers all had a fantastic time with Captain Jim at the helm on our scalloping adventure. He found just the right spots for abundant scallops and was very safety conscious throughout our trip. He was also a good trainer for the up and coming mollusk-hunters, and somehow knew where all of us were in the water at the same time. His boat was a pleasant surprise, with a custom setup and lounging room for six on the bow, and a wider than normal beam for more room all around. We will definitely be giving Captain Jim a call next scallop season, and hopefully sooner for some inshore fishing.

We had such an amazing time spending the day scalloping and cruising with Jim. He is a very thoughtful and kind captain. He had lots of great tips and took fantastic care of us. He made sure that our scalloping adventure was a success and fun. This was a once in a lifetime experience and our group loved every single second of it!!!! Thank you Jim for an amazing day!!!!!

Capt. Jim and wife Wendy are top notch! We chartered a scalloping expedition for a birthday celebration and had so much fun! Capt. Jim is extremely knowledgeable of the area, where to look and even helped us rig our novice equipment so it was functional. Fun, safe and very enjoyable! We will be making future reservations for sure!

We have used Homosassa Scalloping Charters (Captain Jim Lemke) several times, and always return to him when planning a day trip for several reasons:
• Communication is a breeze. Captain Jim is very responsive and leaves no question unanswered so we always know exactly what to expect.
• Extremely knowledgeable. We have always come home with a good haul since Captain Jim knows where the scallops are each year and just how to find them.
• Top notch boat and equipment. Captain Jim’s boat is both beautiful and comfortable, and we love the extra touches like the bean bags and large bimini. He provides good quality snorkel gear for those that don’t have their own as well.
• Fun, positive and safe experience. It is easy to relax and have fun knowing that Captain Jim is keeping an eye on the weather conditions and participants at all times. We especially appreciate this as we often have beginners and kids along, and they all have had such a good time that they want to scallop again.
