This HIE was a very good choice and comfortable stay on a Friday night early in Feb. 2025. It was conveniently located to several retail and dining options, and just a short drive along HWY 60 off I-55 southbound. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and well stocked, and we slept well. Breakfast was very good with the typical offerings. Would stay again if heading its way.

We got to the hotel late in the evening. Front desk staff were right there with our reservations at hand. Literally took only a minute to check in! Very warm and friendly at check in and check out. The Breakfast was great and the service even better. The Breakfast Host always made sure the food was hot and trays filled. Rarely do you get both for a breakfast inclusive hotel.

Room was nice, clean & bed was very comfortable. However, breakfast was horrible. Pancake maker not working. Tried an egg white omelet was terrible. Thought it might have cheese in it. No it had some kind of salsa, spicy smell so bad. Can't have spicy food. Seems no matter what Holiday Inn Express we stop at. The pancake maker isn't working. I think ALL Holiday Inn Express' should get rid of pancake makers & get waffle makers. Used 2 stop at Country Inn & Suites & they have waffle makers.Never had problems with them. Please think about getting rid of pancake makers!

I often stay at Holiday Inn Express and simply put the manager hires Great staff here, they prepare a better than average breakfast, they actually upgrade people with status. Great hotel overall and completely affordable. Also has the store for drinks and snacks comes in handy.

We always try to stay at a Holiday Inn Express when we travel. This hotel is so very nice. Good location. Quiet rooms and it was spotlessly clean inside and out. Hot breakfast was great and the lady who prepared it was incredibly nice and sweet. Highly recommend this hotel. Will stay again when we pass through the area.

We have stayed at this location for years going back and forth in the winter. We have been there since it first opened and then again this past month. It really needs to be remodeled, updated, renewed, CLEANED. The lighting in the room is poor, the bed is awful and the shower (luke warm water at night, hot water in the morning) needs to be addressed.

We seem to have forgotten the cleanliness and all the factors that we went through in years past - that definitely needs to be brought back to this location.

I wish I could write a review just about the front desk. We had some problems but they worked hard to resolve everything as best as they could.

But…

We got to our room and immediately noticed that the bed was not properly made. We’re used to remaking beds because the sheet on the kind bed is often turned wrong. In this case the sheet was entirely the wrong size and the housekeeper just left it. Front desk supplied the right size and we put it on. Then we noticed the duvet cover was on wrong so when we removed it to set it right we noticed some yucky spots on the comforter. Front desk supplied a clean one. In the end, we had to completely remake the whole bed.

The bathroom floor and desk were sticky as if the same rag was used to wipe up spilled juice but not completely. Some housekeeper needs to be retrained or fired.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs swimming in a watery mess. Omelets were cold. Holding temp on everything was not hot enough.

Also the pool was closed.

Overall it was very disappointing.

Incredible staff and great bed!! Traveling with our son and family. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful place to stay and we will stay again.
