my family and I are so grateful to have found this holiday inn. It may seem overpriced but I felt it was worth every penny. Every staff member we encountered was so welcoming. The bedroom was clean and spacious. They offered complimentary breakfast, like REAL breakfast: pancakes, egg white omlette, turkey patties/pork links, pastries, different types of juice, yogurt, fruit and a lot more. I noticed the lobby was always offering infused iced water and snacks, very nice in the 90°+ weather. My fave part was checkout at noon. so we literally got to sleep in, eat bf and pack leisurely. We enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. Thank you!

Good hotel to stay at during a stay in Bishop. Room was clean and the airco silent. Small breakfast area but breakfast is good and items were replenished continuously. If you want to sleep late ask for a room away from the parking area.

I've stayed here twice now. Once in May 2024 and once in October 2024. My first overnight on my way home from Lake Tahoe was a solid HIE experience. The hotel has a few quirks, like the elevator on one end of the long hotel, which they explain on a sign in the elevator. But it was everything my mom and I needed. At that time, we were in a 2 bed room on the 2nd floor.

My most recent stay was terrible. I was traveling solo and was placed in an accessible room on the first floor. I hate accessible rooms. As someone who doesn't need one, the accessible shower is awkward and leaky... water gets everywhere. There was no way for the shower head to stay up so I could use both hands while showering. But I can deal with an accessible room. I was booking with points, so maybe that's all they had left. I am a platinum elite member of IHG, so I really, really hope they didn't have anything left.

The room itself was in poor repair. While the room was technically clean, it felt dingy, like it needed a deep cleaning. The carpet was gross, and not in a way that could be vacuumed up. The shade on the light was torn, the shade on the window was torn, the desk lamp was broken and wouldn't turn off, so I unplugged it. In the morning, there were some ants by the coffee machine (not a lot... maybe a dozen or so). The whole place gave me the ick.

When I arrived at like 10pm, after driving for 7 hours, there was no one at the front desk. There was a sign they'd be back soon, but it was frustrating to have to wait another 10 minutes after such a long drive and so late at night. When the clerk came back, there was no apologies for the wait.

The breakfast was standard for HIE, thank goodness! Breakfast is served in the small lobby, which is just another quirk of this hotel.

If my 2nd experience had been my first, I'd have stayed overnight in Lone Pine instead. My first experience was a 3.5 star experience and my 2nd experience was a 1 star experience. So I'm honestly not sure if I'd stay here again. Maybe once the filth and ants are a distant memory, I'd try it again.

We’ve been IHG PE members for years, had great experiences until we visited Holiday Inn Express
& Suites Bishop. They advertise “Pet Friendly”, but really they mean “Dog Friendly”. We drove from very far away to seek clean air because our home is in a forest fire and got our appointment canceled because we had our cat with us. They’ll allow a 65lb pitbull but not a 9lb cat that sits around and does nothing. Awful customer service, wife and I are considering never staying at IHG again. Unbelievable, this really twisted the knife during an already traumatic time.

Love the 5:30am breakfast. Rooms are well appointed. So many electrical outlets and USB plugs! Great shower. Strong AC. Super dark with the blackout shades at night.

BEWARE. As of 9/1/24. Seems clean and well maintained. But possible bed bugs from our room in room 126. Me and my toddler both got bitten the night of our stay. These bites were definitely not mosquito bites or spider bites.

I notified them yesterday and they still have not called back.

Typical Holiday Inn express. Clean room. Breakfast in the morning was good. There is nothing to complain about. Good location next to city park and Schots Bakery.
