The staff that took care of us during our stay were absolutely delightful! The hotel has been recently renovated, so it was clean and modern Rooms were as expected for a Holiday Inn. Pool was great for the kiddos. Location was close to everything, but super busy intersections made it take forever to go anywhere during busy times.

It was disappointing that we couldn't in good conscious eat at the "free breakfast" restaurant attached to the hotel. It surely needs a deep clean and new leadership to keep the quality decent. We did see a few brave souls eat there, but we headed the warnings of everyone local not to eat there once we saw it.

The main reason for the poor review was the horrible treatment by the general manager. We were displaced from another hotel due to a power outage and placed at Holiday Inn. We paid already, so we didn't owe a balance upon arrival. I asked about being refunded the price difference since our other suite was bigger and at a higher end hotel but was told i couldn't because it was booked and paid by the other hotel. They needed my card for incidentals, no big deal usually, but we were charged for each night in addition to incidental holds. Long story short, almost two weeks later we are still waiting for resolution and had to call corporate to intervene. Daniel was short, rude, and very uninterested in resolving this matter or even getting on the phone directly to discuss it.

Great hotel! We stayed in a newly renovated room that had two queens and an extra bedroom attached with a king bed (and two bathrooms).This worked great for our large family. Staff were friendly. Kids loved the indoor and outdoor pools. It was also nice that they offered free breakfast at Perkins for IHG Rewards members. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

We were pleased and the hotel was above our expectations. The newly renovated rooms were clean and spacious. Our kids enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools. The Perkins breakfast was also a nice upgrade compared to standard continental hotel breakfast.

I recommend avoiding this place, especially if you have pets.

My "pet friendly" room was gross, the floor was sticky and you can see the grime on the floor in the attached video.

Front desk workers were nice but management consistently ignored me when I reached out about the poor room conditions

Positive: 1. Hotel employee, at the front desk, was superlative in checking us in: friendly, professional, helpful, one of the best we've ever encountered.2. The lounge had a surprisingly good selection of craft beer. Negative: 1. The bathroom floor was not cleaned very well.2. When we went for breakfast at Perkins at 5:35, we were told that the cooks had not shown up but had been called. So we got two pretty stale pastries.

Not Happy at all. I'm here for work and will be returning to city every few months. I won't be staying here again. Half roll of 1 toilet paper roll. AC can't be turned down with screws going in it. After working 12 hours came back to nothing being wiped down. I almost drove home today which is 3 hours away. I'll be getting couple hours of sleep and leaving early.

Traveling from Texas to Illinois is a long, tiring trip by yourself. The front desk gentlemen was very welcoming and helpful. The Bistro was fantastic. I suggest the seafood bisque. Wow! The bed was probably one of the best hotel beds i have slept in. Breakfast at Perkins was good, nothing outstanding, just like any other Perkins, but the waitress was attentive. Overall, i will stay again if i have to make this trip again.

Positive: The front desk staff, made checking in easy. Negative: Everything, it was dirty. The toilet had poop on it, dripping down the side. The bathroom floor was filthy, the sheets and cover on one of the bed was filled with brown stains, the towels and shower curtain also were dirty.
