This is the TALLEST covered bridge I've been to yet. It was so pretty. Everything about it. It was tall and red and I dont believe the sign but it says it's the oldest covered bridge in the world? Google says otherwise. Anyway, it was so big to walk through. The roaring river below you is crazy and pretty. You can see it slightly through the cracks of the wood since there are no windows in this bridge. On the other side, there is the railway station that has a sitting area by the river and also a big gazebo for some shade. The town, the bridge, the river, the area, was all very beautiful. I'd like to come back here. There was plenty of parking. I went when it was sunny and warm and it made my whole day .

Such a beautiful place with many restaurants/business around to shop and dine at when your done swimming. The river has a shallow/rocky area great for pictures. The other side of the river is nice and deep with trees that hang over the water. Hanging from the trees is also a rope swing. Next to the parking lot are picnic tables and a gazebo perfect for eating lunch at. There's plenty of parking and it's an overall great swim spot.
Update: the other side of the river has soft sand and teenagers like to climb the trees and jump off of them.

Lovely. Unfortunate that rather than preserve some surrounding history, this bridge is now bordered by a pizza shop.

Cool spot if you like covered bridges. Wish I could have seen it during the day. The lights help you see it at night, but they were a little fickle. I think they worked by sensors, but they didn't seem to work right.

It is a difficult bridge to photograph unless you get to the river, and it is hard to get to the river. The walk through the bridge is nice with cool latticework. There are motion sensored lights that turn out at night, so you aren't walking through the pitch dark if crossing at night.

There is not a lot of parking by the entrance and you need to park in the little park nearby as the pizza place has signs that parking is for customers and we didn't want to chance it. There wasn't anyone else at the bridge when we went on a Friday night.

Nextime we are in the area, we will stop for pizza, but probably not for the bridge. There has to be a better vantage point, but we were on a mission to see as many covered bridges before dark and didn't have time to look.
