I did three trips with Hill's Guide Service this year 2 catfish trips and a smorgasbord of fish trip to Shelbyville. Was very impressed with all 3. Caught my biggest Blue Catfish ever on these trips. Jason is extremely knowledgeable and not afraid to teach as well. Thank you so much for the memories this year and I will be doing more trips next year.

My first time really out fishing and had a great time with Captain Hill! Really nice and friendly guy who makes for good company to be out on the water with for 7 hours. Also very knowledgeable and helpful, but still lets YOU be the one to catch the fish, unlike some other charters I’ve heard about. My group went out to get catfish and everybody caught at least one! We all agreed if we’re ever back in the area that we would definitely love to go out with him again!

Fishing with Capt. Jason Hill has to have been one of the absolute best days I have ever had on the water. He is not only an incredibly talented fisherman and guide but an all-around wonderful person to spend time with. Funny, jovial, humble, and down-to-earth, you would never expect him to be one of the most lethal fisherman alive.

I was happy to see Capt. Hill is a conservationist like myself, being selective with the fish he keeps and the fish he released. We all came home with many channel catfish to eat while also being able to say we landed Blue Catfish as well that were just not quite big enough yet

We were on the fish most of the day. He knew Clinton Lake like the back of his hand and at no point did he have to think about the next spot, the next bait, the next presentation. He was always several steps ahead of the changing conditions and was more than happy to share both local and general fishing knowledge.

If I am ever back in Central Illinois I will certainly be calling him again. And if you are looking to tussle with some catfish yourself then I couldn't think of a better guide to show you how.

I have been fishing with Captain Jason 3 times. He has taught me so much over the years! He's so kind and patient for an unexperienced person like myself, but also shares knowledge with those who fish often. No gear needed, just be ready for a great time! Highly recommended!
