I can’t say enough good things about Highland Dog Resort. As the owner of a reactive dog, finding a place that could make my pup feel safe and loved was a challenge. But from the moment we arrived, I knew we had found the right spot. Emily and Curt are incredibly understanding and patient, taking the time to learn about Gertie’s specific needs and ensuring that she feels comfortable and secure. Emily and Curt complete a “meet and greet” which provided time for us to explore the facility and Gertie to acclimate.
They go above and beyond to create a calm and positive environment, and I can tell Gertie truly loves her time there. Whether it’s the cozy, quiet spaces or the careful, individualized attention, I feel confident knowing she’s in great hands. It's such a relief to leave her with Emily and Curt who not only care deeply about her well-being but also know how to handle her unique temperament.
I highly recommend Highland Dog Resort to anyone looking for a boarding facility where your dog will be treated like family. They’ve earned my trust, and I’m grateful for the love and care they give Gertie every time she stays.

Cannot speak high enough about this place. They treated our pets like they were family. Lots of attention, constant updates, kind and respectful to our dogs. Affordably priced. This place is the best dog boarding place around. Other kennels in the area reek of feces and our pets came back covered in flees. Highland Dog Resort is clean and well maintained and I highly recommend you take your pets here! They even sent us a post card thanking us after their stay!

We would recommend Kurt and Emily to everyone for your pet boarding needs! Our fur baby loves to visit. He knows where he is going as we go up the road. He jumps right out of the car and goes right to Kurt and does not look back or act like he does not want to go. They provide frequent videos to let you know that your fur baby is being taken care of. They interact with your fur baby and give them 1:1 time.

With our Rocco being elderly and not very socialized, we were looking for a special environment for him. Someplace calm and comfortable. After visiting Highland, we knew we had found the place for our boy. I would highly recommend Curt and Emily to anyone needing boarding for their dog. They genuinely care about the dogs and put the owners at ease with several videos during the day. We would not trust anyone else with our Rocco! They are the BEST!

The whole experience with Highland Dog Resort was awesome!! From the moment we dropped off Buster and his 5 day stay, to when we picked him up. We had a good peace of mind feeling about his stay. This was Buster’s first time being at a boarding facility, so of course we were worried how he would react. Our first impression was very good. They came out to greet us and Buster. The facility is wonderful! Very clean and organized. Nice size suites and play yards. We and our whole family on vacation with us looked forward to our several Buster videos throughout the day. We loved seeing how happy he was there. He went for walks and had plenty of play time. Thank you Highland Dog Resort for taking amazing care of Buster and letting us have peace of mind while we were on vacation. ❤️

I can’t recommend Highland Dog Resort enough! They were wonderful to my pup and went out of their way to make sure I had plenty of video updates showing that he was enjoying himself and getting plenty of one on one play time. They also worked with me coming from out of town and the entire stay was just way more than I could’ve ever asked for. If you’re looking for a place to board your pet and want people who will treat them like one of their own, look no further…this is the place!!!

Our pup stayed here for the first time, this past weekend for a 4 night stay, while my husband and I took a spur of the moment trip. We received 4-5 video updates of echo every day. Despite Echo having a nervous nature, she settled in very well and when I picked her up she was obviously very well cared for. They brushed her daily, per my request, and I couldn't be more happy about the care she received. Echo will definitely be returning for future visits.

I don’t know where to start. We have 3 rescues who have never been boarded, one who is a senior and one who has a history of being timid. When I called Emily at HDR to inquire about a tour, she instantly said absolutely. The facility was very organized and clean and very welcoming for the clients. Emily answered every question I had.. then we did a meet and greet for our timid baby, Maggie. It put us and Maggie at ease. When it came to drop off time, Maggie went to Emily as if she had known her forever. That made my heart melt.

I love the multiple videos we receive throughout the day. It definitely puts us at ease knowing our dogs are not just safe, but genuinely loved. It is priceless.

The facility is safe, clean, and welcoming. Very accommodating. I seriously can not say enough great things about HDR! I know we will always be using their services for our pack.

Our newest puppy will be joining them for a stay next month.
