Our family came to High Country Adventures to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. Jacob was our guide and he was SUPER AWESOME ! ! ! We had the best time and will definitely continue to come back again and again. Thanks for such a wonderful ADVENTURE ! ! !

This was my first time whitewater rafting, and I can 100% say that I loved it!

The staff there were super welcoming and friendly, and they all had a light-hearted, upbeat attitude, and definitely made the whole experience that much better!

After a scenic drive to the dam where the rafting starts, we met our guide and learned our commands, and this began our trip down the river.

I won't spoil the trip, because I definitely think you should do it yourself, but just know that it is definitely worth it.

My thirteen year old son described this as “one of the best experiences of his life”. We decided to do a father son rafting trip after finding a heck of a deal on Groupon.

We arrived at 10:30 for the 11am middle river trip. The facility was clean and organized and the staff was super friendly. You can leave your keys and phone with them, which felt safe. There were clear instructions on how to be safe on the water and were separated into groups.

The drive on the bus was fun and the time it took to get unloaded and on the river was impressive. These guys run a well oiled machine.

The trip itself was so much fun and I won’t review it so that I don’t take away some of the adventure. It was safe, a good amount of time, and worth every penny. You will get wet, like within the first two minutes. I also highly recommend leaving your phone, camera and anything else valuable back at the lodge or in your car. It’s very clear within few minutes that there’s a good possibility you’ll be swimming. A photographer will get some great photos that you can purchase at the end of your trip. Do yourself a favor and, buy the photos.

This trip will be something my son and I talk about the rest of our lives. We’ve even decided to make this a yearly trip and we can’t thank the folks at High Country Adventures for the wonderful experience. Shout out to our guide Ricky, thanks for pulling me back in my friend!

We did the middle Ocoee Trip. We had a group of 8 people in two boats. Our guides, Ace and Cullen, were awesome. This is a highly recommended activity. I strongly suggest going with this company. From Registration, training session, bus ride and the whitewater experience, it was GREAT.

Melody answered the phone when I called for the reservation and each time after, she was extremely kind and informative!

Our raft guide was Henry, I PROMISE YOU HES THE BEST GUIDE THERE. He knew the river well and did extremely cool tricks with the raft. He was also very funny and personable which added even more to the experience. While I almost felt like I would died a couple of times Henry kept us very aware of when to do what, so even with our crazy tricks none of us fell out at all.

This is the best white water rafting tour around!! We have now gone a few times and every time has been an incredible adventure story lol. Shelley is the best guide ever hands down! But all of the guides there are amazing an experienced. You feel excited and safe and having fun all at the same time. They start out by giving you an intro class and teach you how to do the paddles etc. Then you board the bus and ride down to the entrance at the river. The lunch they serve is pretty good too and they even offer a veggie option. There is also a really fun part before lunch where you swim and float down the river. The water gets colder as the season ends, we went the second time on last day of the season. But what an incredible ride.The first time we conquered the Godzilla rapid was unreal and the second time too. If you stay on the raft or if you flip you will be well prepared and it will be an adventure of a lifetime. We cannot wait to go back next year! They also take pictures the entire time so you have the option to buy one or all of them at the end. Team Kenny!

This is my first white water rafting trip, plus I can't swim. I have a tremendous amazing experience wanting to do it again. Our raft leader is Shelly. He is awesome, very experienced, and so is all his raft mates. My friends and I we have the 5 hours trip it included lunch regular burger or veg burger. I wish I had a go pro camera. Ocoee River scenery is amazing.

#whitewaterrafting @ High Country Adventures was OUTSTANDING the second time around. My son and I can’t wait to get back at it. I highly recommend this place. Super well organized and knowledgeable staff. A big shoutout to Jacob Stocklass, our boat captain today. His knowledge of rafting and care for his crew made us feel safe and he made sure we had fun riding the river.
